Richo, RFC asking for supporters to buy new equipment
« on: May 13, 2010, 05:42:30 PM »
Dear one-eyed,

The transformation taking place at Tigerland right now is enormous . . .

On-field, the Club is assembling a group of talented, young players, who are gaining valuable experience week by week, and learning to properly implement coach Damien Hardwick's winning game plan.

Off-field, the $20 million redevelopment of Punt Road Oval is going ahead in leaps and bounds. I spend a couple of days in the Club's administration office each week and, as I look out the window, I can't get over how quickly the construction is taking place, or how big it is.

I missed out on the opportunity to have great facilities at Punt Road throughout my career, but I want the Club's current-day players to get the best-possible amenities, in order to give themselves the best-possible chance of delivering that long-awaited 11th league premiership. This is where you can help out . . .

All Richmond Football Club supporters now have the opportunity to personally contribute towards the purchase of equipment required to finish the fit-out of the new facility and complete Punt Road Oval Facility transformation. You have the option to donate an amount equal to the cost of a piece of essential equipment for the fit-out of the new facility.

eg:  $100    (cost of a set of dumbbells)
$200    (cost of an Olympic weight storage system)
$500    (cost of a bench press)
$1000  (part cost of a rowing machine or treadmill)

Donations will be tax deductible when made to the Australian Sports Foundation, using the enclosed Pledge form.

For donations of $100 or more, donor names will be printed on a special honor board, to be placed in the new gymnasium, as well as appearing in the Club's 2010 Annual Report.

The enclosed Pledge form provides all Tiger supporters with the opportunity to make a valuable tax deductible contribution to support the Punt Road Oval redevelopment, through the total fit-out of the facilities.

Donors will also have the option of making a once-off contribution or an annual donation over a number of years.

You can make your tax deductible pledge by posting, faxing or emailing the ASF Pledge form to the Club, or in person at the 'Tiger Den' at Punt Road Oval.

Non-tax deductible donations can be made directly to the club by phoning the membership department on 1300 RICHMOND (742 466), via the Club's official website, www.richmondfc.com.au, or in person at the 'Tiger Den' at Punt Road Oval.

By making a donation, you will be doing your bit to ensure the Tigers are well placed to carve out our next era of sustained success in the competition.

Best Wishes,

Matthew Richardson

I might give $100 if I can have one of the sets of dumbbell's that they're throwing away. :)

Can't do it right now Richo.

They called me up as well as getting the letter.
I also said I'm done as have given extra this year already.
Fans can only give so much & I can't see them raising a heap towards equipment.
Still I'd encourage anyone who can to do so.
