Franklin and Mitchell back very bad news. Good to see Nathan back. Bad about Cousins still being out. Can't believe would consider Hislop whilst Morton playing at Coburg. Forward line does not look flash. Keep Astbury in the side

Meh, he might not have the talent of Morton but at least Hislop gives 100% every time and follows team rules, unlike Morton.

Going by the reports of Morton looking uninterested and lazy last week I can't say I sympathise with him much until he pulls his finger out of his arse.

In EOTT, Newitt didn't sound impressed with Mitch's defensive effort.  He did credit him with 30 possies though

He does?

Yes he does.

He hunts and tackles and makes them hurt.  Morton will tackle if opportunistic but will barely chase and tackle.

Morton is an avenue for a defender out of our forward line.  Hislop is more accountable.

And Hislop does the percentage things far more often than Morton ever does trying to be a magician.

Morton is the better player with better skills and a better footy brain when he makes the effort but unfortunately I'm not seeing it lately and he deserves to be at Coburg.

...and that is why Morton is playing for coburg!!

If he cant get his head around it he has a limited future under hardwick. :thumbsup

Like the look of our side this week.

If they line up as selected which they won't Burgoyne at HB and Martin at HF.

Would love to see the young fella test out Burgoyne physically and mentally. :thumbsup

team rules? do we watch the same game maybe not. Hislop does not follow team rules at all.

The type of football we want to base our club around should not involve a third grade hack like Hislop that the tanned one brought to us.

what does he average 2/3 tackles a game. yep Dimma straight back to Coburg for this one never to return again :thumbsup

I reckon he does.  Better than Morton anyway.

Still, Hislop should not be in the 22 come Sunday.

I'd lean to this way of thinking with Tommy. Undisciplined player IMO.

no your right i dont know what he has been told but i do know that numbers dont lie pal :thumbsup

Look at his averages. Up there with the worst in our whole team. Frankston Pines awaits yet another one of our wonderful draft selections

a player should not be told to go in for the hard ball and tackle an opponent and his average of tackles says a lot about him. :thumbsup

ooh yeah and so so does the amount of disposals he has also.
