King was deplorable. Left his player to run off frequently and was useless in any zone formation. Was the worst player on the field. Must be just warming the spot for Connors and/or Dea. Will be interesting to see if Hardwick moves Lids back into the middle when Connors returns or leaves him in the backline, along with Connors and Newman to give us better desposal/ability to move the ball by foot forward.

Vickery may need a few games in the reserves. In a team with better rucks, he would be given the licence to develop (especially in size) in the VFL. Given the state of our rucks we have been forced to try and fast track him in the big league. I would rather bring Browne in and see whether he steps ups and similtaneously allow the 19 year old time to regain his confidence playing against smaller/less capable rucks in the 2nds.

If Farmer is suspended we may need to bring Polo back in. There is no other choice to fufill the small defender role that I can think of.

He is a selfish type of player and if it benefits him by kicking a goal or too he'll tackle and harass. He just does not show those characteristics outside of the forward 50. Case in point the bit of play in the last minute last night. Knew he had a horrid game and could have set up Astbury for a certain goal but sprayed it. It's okay to be selfish when you are a forward but when we are trying to develop a winning formula up forward and a team first attitude that helps us win games.

fair enough, hard to argue against that.
sometimes it can be good to put a player out their comfort zone and see how they respond.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Just for the record Al I agree with the principle with where we are at to experiment and put a player out of their comfort zone to see if they can play in a different situation but to me Nahas is not one to go back and his small stature will result in Jake King type mismatches also IMO.  Furthermore he has been lost at sea also in the midfield when put there this season. Robin is a specialist if I can use that term fwd 50 type player only. As is Steven Milne at St Kilda.

Edwards was a smallish forward who looks okay in the backline atm. That experiment has worked somewhat and Shane is our most improved players so far this year.

Why Polo WP.... :lol, really though I thought Thompson was better than him last week and has he done something lately to earn a spot.... just asking... don't shoot me..... ;)

Well one would hope that Thomson was better than Polo last week as Thomson played and Polo didn't - he was out suspended  ;D

Just think we need some experience down back and he has had some good results against Ebert and K Cornes  :thumbsup

Also with no Jackson we need a run with tagger and Polo plays that role very well

Oh thats right, sorry, forgot he was suspended. He will probably replace Farmer then, lets just hope he can get it together.

Torch, what is going on mate, Edwards was my whipping boy until he proved me wrong and he has done that now for the last 5-6 weeks so I can't agree with your comments regarding him.

Why would you also bring in and injured player, Griffiths?????

Morton and Collins have done nothing with Coburg to warrent a re-call either. Cousins will get going once the players around him improve and work harder and he has some game time.

WTF were you watching?

Shut Stanton out of the game pretty well and was pretty handy offensively himself.

He's going no where.  One of the "midgets" who belongs in the team :thumbsup

If you want to drop another midget there is a bloke called Nahas who was hopeless.

Out:  Vickery, FARMER(never to play again), Nahas

IN:    Browne, Post, Morton,

very lucky Nason. We cant afford too many midgets in the one side. Between him and Nahas its effin embrassing at times

Have to agree we are too many smalls, must add to our height & weight

if Dimma wants to be fair dinkum then he cant go on like this. Every effin week we play too small and bloody embrassing to be honest.

Im waiting for Nahas and Nason to one day yell out 'the plane the plane"

Seriously TM i looked up in the forward line at one stage and saw Farmer, Nahas, Jack, Nason and White. :banghead :banghead

Jack R must be thinking WTF am i doing at this club  surrounded by these dwarfs.
:ROTFL :ROTFL

at this stage of the week i reckon we need to focus on the obvious.
its obvious to me we cannot go into games and expect to be at least competetive with so many runts in the team.  runts in the main who lack the required polish so to speak. the small players we went with this week include. nason, webberley, white, king, nahas, farmer, cousins, edwards, and foley.  to me king white nahas  have to go. farmer will be suspended. cuz is really struggling but may be better for the run.
get the structure and size balance right and play as many skillful good kicks as possible with this in mind.

also we need to look at our rotation process concerning kids. we have a few who have had good blocks of games and are now struggling. time to send em back to coburg for confidence. in particular the one this applies to is vickery. drop him back and just add a like player in browne who can do with some exposure for a short stint or block of games.

atm i would be looking at something like this.

b; newman- thursfield - moore.
hb; deledio - mcguane - webberley.
c; cotchin - martin - edwards.
hf; nason - riewoldt - collins.
f;  astbury - polak -
r;  graham - tuck - foley
int; browne, polo, cuz, and either thomson a mid or a tall in post/rance.

outs would be. king, white, vickery farmer nahas.
ins would be browne, polak, polo, collins  thomson.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

The Tigers took an unchanged lineup into the game against Essendon, but don't expect that this time around. Ty Vickery could do with a run in the VFL to stop his developing body being smashed in the ruck and he could be replaced by either Andrew Browne or Troy Simmonds. Graham Polak hasn't kicked a goal in either of his two matches, but the lack of a VFL match makes it hard for the likes of Ben Griffiths to push their case.

We might have been better off with him playing.  From what I saw in the replay he was terrible and looked very disinterested and distracted.  Would have left them carrying a passenger with his current attitude.   :-\

Yeah either that or we could have played him into form like we have been doing a bit lately with teams and players from oppositions. Look at the Hawks.. :-\
