Ch 10 saying Cuz has been put into an "induced coma" so they can treat him.

They show Cameron saying Cuz's girlfriend had trouble waking Cuz this morning so called the club doctor and after examining him they took him to hospital. He's been put into intensive care and sedated.

If this is true, this is not good.

Doesn't sound great does it if he's been sedated  :-\. Even if he's okay and he's just in ICU on observation he definitely won't be playing this week :(.

Quite common when you a dealing with a reaction to medications.

Being sedated slows the body down and as well as taking the pressure of the body trying to fight what has happened.... makes the DOctors job a bit easier in treating and analysing what's happened

I think Ch10 can join the Ch9 sensationalism circus after their pathetic "induced coma" comment, being sedated (heavily) can mean you are bascially asleep.

Fair dinkum the media are a disgrace

Yeah spot on MT.

Induced Coma and being sedated/anaesthetic are completely separate things.

Media cant be throwing around these comments so naively. Its a disgrace

Sports Tonight on Ch 10 still saying Cuz is in an induced coma although they qualified it by saying "it's a very sedated state"  :whistle. Cuz won't be playing this week.

Damian Barrett is still outside the Epworth saying Cuz will remain under sedation at least until tomorrow morning. He also has a breathing apparatus to help his breathing. Said Cuz took a 'No doze' common amongst footballers before the game to get him up and then a glass of wine afterwards and prescribed high-strength sleeping tablets.

To be honest that's hardly news.
He's very close to the end despite yesterday's health problems.

Get well soon Benny and enjoy the rest of the year. :thumbsup

Wishing him a speedy recovery. This is such a shame. He has been playing great football. It appears the media have little idea what is going on. Hopefully the club will release another statement today.

A simple case of the human body going into shock when your asking too much of it,  then trying to shut it down  ;D
This method has been around for many years.

The doctors are the problem for abusing thier powers of handing out prescribed drugs to players when they dont need them.
Not once has anybody brought this problem up. Club doctors are fully aware of what the players are doing & ignore the problem too where it is today. It is why teens are drinking mothers before games. Its rife in the TAC & lower leagues also.

Very few footballers would need sleeping tablets after a huge day of football pre-game, game, post game, celebrations, late night.

l hope this will open the eyes of the AFL drug problem  :banghead But as the saying goes, There are always those who work in labs experimenting on something to get past the drug testing & developing a new method of performace enhancing.

Ben Cousins has committed no illegal offence. His just taking it too a riskier level, It backfired  ;D

Cuz has discharged himself from hospital. So he's gone home  :).

He was going to give a media statement but changed his mind after talking to the Club.
