Just a reminder that you cannot accuse anyone (even in jest) of something that has not been proved in a court of law..... it can have very serious ramifications for this site

in this case and at this stage Newton has not been charged with anything regarding what allegedly happened in Rome. As a result (legally) you are limited in what you can say... Rightly or wrongly you cannot

Use of the word "allegedly" keeps the legal wolves away.

Understand that point Jake but there is a big difference (again legally) between "convicted of assault" and the term "bashing a woman". Details of what the convicted "assault" actual involved have never been made public from what I can gather

Not saying I agree with the legal minefield we now face but we are just making sure we don't open ourselves up to trouble
