The AFL must see us as a soft target for the newbies  .

The good news is we keep our season opener against the bluebaggers. Up to us to turn the tables.

The concerning question is does this mean we'll have two away games to start the season. Not great for membership sales.

We had 3 of our first 4 at home this year (it ended up the only 3 home games in the first 7 rounds) but all up just get sick of the AFL most years giving us less than 50% home games early on in the season when all clubs are pushing membership sales.

I think with the deal with Cricket it'll start at the usual time of late March. The Grand Final date has been pushed back into early October.

Yep the redevelopment of Carrara will be completed by May. I think it'll only be expanded to 45k if we get the 2018 Comm Games and/or 2022 World Cup.

If it's going from 22 to a 24 week season then you would think it will start a week early and finish a week later. So Gold/Coast Gabba holiday weekend of 26/27th March.

With the bye included due to 17 teams I don't think they'll have the midseason break next year.
