ooh please surely this is April Fools again is it?
"Sherman has two years to run on a heavily back-ended contract worth about $800,000 for 2011 and 2012 combined"
so does that mean we would have to foot the bill for that as well as giving the Lions draft picks.
Dimma will be judged purely on decisions like this i hope this aint true because Sherman has never been able to string descent consecutive seasons together.
Craig Cameron trying to justify his position by be seen to be doing something. Just leave it fool and draft kids
here here dan the man. let me add what ever happened to that much vaunted no poor kicks mantra.
what concerns me is if they are trading away 2nd rnd picks for types like sherman the logical conclusion can only be they think we have a top 8 list.
without a shadow of doubt the club should be looking to cut at least 10 or 12 players and trying to trade into a pick somewhere around 15 thru 30. they should also be trading into any other pick they can get.not the opposite and not for a bloke who has questionable skills and consistency.
the other thing that makes me wonder about the love for sherman is do people actually look at what his true worth as a footy player is and what the potential upside of a second rounder may be.
i have to ask how many of us thought with the going of wallace and the advent of the new messiah hardwick and after the initial clean out that at last we were going to put in place and act on processes that will work, processes that said no more short cuts.
well one has to wonder the similarities between hardwick 09 10 and wallace 04 05 are astounding. bloody hell at least wallace had three draft picks in the top 40 at the end of his first yr in charge.
