I dont understand this issue about Poleks weight. According to my reference he is 81kgs and 188cm. He only needs to put on 4 or 5 kgs and end up at 85/86kg which is a good weight for an outside mid or wingman.

Wouldn't you just go and meet his parents and see from them whether he'll have trouble gaining weight or if he'll be Fiora stick figure skinny for his whole career?
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

81kgs for a 17yo is not a stick figure number. This is just that afew people are wanting a certain player and people sticking the boots in to Polek because hes not there preferred option at 6. I havent seen alot of Polek but if the club reckons hes our best bet at 6 then thats who we should take.

And as you've already stated his body hasn't held him back from playing against mature bodies, Look at Brennan, Hill and Dale Thomas, Being slight in body hasn't held them back in AFL footy.

Emma Quayle is working on her phantom draft......

"Hmmm....... does Tom Lynch go to Richmond? He would certainly complement Riewoldt & Griffiths"

[Responding to our Nugget]
"why do you say polec is set? i think that's what's most likely, but not set yet"

Reece Conca

Height: 185cm
Weight: 79kg
DOB: 12/08/92
Club: Perth (WA)

Kevin Sheehan says: Versatile player who can play forward, midfield or back.  His ability to run and carry and his football smarts were prominent in representing WA at the Under-18 Championships this year.  Averaged 18 disposals at 79 per cent efficiency.

Stats (aggregate for 2010 U18s National Championships)
 Games     K     H     D     M    G    H/O
    5          46     46     92     24    1      0

In his own words
What type of player are you?
A confident player who works hard on and off the football field. A real team-oriented and leadership figure who enjoys all aspects of football and strives for success.

Which AFL player do you feel you resemble and why?
Ryan Griffen - because of his ability to run and carry along with the fact he can play multiple positions effectively. He’s an honest and fair player who seems a real leader at his club.

What are your strengths as a footballer?
I have the versatility to play multiple positions, ability to play inside and outside, good leadership, and the ability to run and carry.

What parts of your game would you like to improve?
My goal kicking, tackling, and physicality around contests.

Which AFL team do you support and how did you come to barrack for them?
Sydney Swans - Paul Kelly was and still is my AFL idol and watching him growing up made me support the Swans and inspired my thirst to play AFL.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career so far, and why?
My biggest influence has being my father Loui who has been involved in all my football to this stage. The simple things like having a kick at the park and talking to me at games as a kid are the most important factors.

yeah didnt think Lynch was high on our priority list, we already have Griffiths/Post and Astbury who are potential tall fwds, not to mention Vickery pinch hitting there.

Very interested to see Emmas phantom draft

Polec may not be around at our pick 6....

Brisbane is believed to have wavered on taking gritty Victorian country midfielder Dyson Heppell.

The Lions now appear more likely to pick classy Woodville-West Torrens on-baller Jared Polec with their first choice and number five overall.

Talking to Emma Quayle over twitter....

Any explanation why Conca is rumoured to go at pick 6 to Richmond?

EQ: Conca & tape - just word from contacts. Watch this space

Nugz: i see ur still sure on Conca at #6, just have to see how it pans out!i like him but is he worth #6?

RT: G'Day Emma any chance of Smith for the Tigers at 6?

EQ: I'm on polec, tape then conca at 6!
No to either smith... Polec tape or conca

RT: Cheers Emma, just heard from someone who claims to have inside info that we were looking at a midfielder from interstate @ 185cm

EQ: To those asking about richmond's pick 6, at the moment the order I have is polec, tape or conca..

Nugz: RT that's Reece conca

RT: What chance do you give Gaff sliding to 6, appears that WC are keen on Polec and Lions like Heppell

EQ: I have Gaff at 4 and Heppell at 5.

I have a feeling we will take Heppell.

I think West Coast will take Darling.

Brisbane can not pass up on Gaff can they?

Heppell or Polec will be the option and Richmond will take Heppell.

Don't think West Coast could take Polec instead of Gaff.

It is STUPID saying "I don't want him, him or him!"

We have to accept them and give them a go!

Personal opinion and selection has been Gaff all along and then Caddy, Polec third.

As long as this player contributes to Richmonds 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th Premiership I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD CARE!

Time will tell ... obviously!
