Hird's not a very good liar is he  :wallywink.

If Thompson does end up at Essendon as well then he must have gone to the Mal Michael school of retirement :whistle.

Wow, that's spooky.  I mentioned Mal in my previous post without even seeing this haha!

Going by what they showed of Bomber Thompson's speech tonight you would say he's gone. It was too nostalgic for someone that was staying.

About the only thing exclusive about Scott cullens article is that he is wrong :wallywink

Quote
But he refuted claims that he had already told his assistant Brenton Sanderson that he had decided to give it away and said he would make his mind up by Tuesday.

"That's the sort of week it's been, it's been a lot of rumours and innuendo. I haven't told anyone that at all," he said.

"He (Sanderson) rang me today and apologised for something he didn't say to somebody, so that is not the case."

MARK Thompson has handed in his resignation as Geelong coach.

As reported on SuperFooty exclusively on Friday, Thompson will not fulfil the final year of his contract to coach the Cats next season.

The decision is expected to become official at a media conference called for 4pm today.

Press conference done and dusted. Thompson said he's had enough of coaching and what it all involves so he's resigned.

What a load of crap.  He certainly looked okay on Before the Game the other night.
If he turns up at Essendon, well, not hard to see why

Didn't he say he had some personal issues that he had to get sorted?
How could you hold that against someone?

I believe if Thompson goes to Essendon, that would be a "DOG ACT!"

He has given up on Geelong.

I wold be pis*ed off if I was a Geelong supporter!

"Burnt Out?"

Malthouse has been coaching since 1984?

What A Dog!

I can understand Ablett's decision!

Thompson had another year.

If he was true to his word, he wouldn't do anything in 2011!

Yeah, right. ..and if he stayed on for another year when his heart wasnt really in it he'd be called a money grabbing turd putting his own interests above the clubs.

Supposedly he had already told the club he wouldn't continue after his contract. Now if geelong need to rebuild, isnt it better a new person come in now, rather than have a bloke who wont be there for the duration involved in list management decisions now?

I'm sure some people look for any reason to put down others just to feel good about themselves.
