Off it, he's become a husband to Sarah and a father to Sonny (three years old) and Spencer (five months), in his most significant role yet.

So everyone in the Grigg household has the same initials!

According to the Sunday Footy Show, there's a billboard on the Eastern Freeway celebrating Griggy's 200th.

I get the feeling that Grigg has either been told, or that he at least thinks, that this is his last season at Tigerland.

It maybe something that I have only just noticed, but he seems to be playing with a lot of agro in recent times. Seems to be losing his rag a lot on the field at the moment.

It looked to me that he even had a crack at Rohan when Rohan was going over to see Conca after the injury.

My only wish is he starts kicking the ball a bit higher when going inside 50. Give Rance time to get down there and contest.
I work in Africa and they were taking the pee out of me for saving Africa.......

only a minor thing but i thought he slowed down our movement a few times last night when we were on a fast break. held onto it allowing sydney to get back rather than giving the quick handball or kick over the top.

I am not suggesting he didn't, or isn't, playing well enough to continue next season.

But the agro isn't something I have seen from him before.

Am I dreaming and has he always played like that, or is this a recent thing?

Tell you what I don't imagine, those black hawk downs that he bombs inside 50 sending opposition defenders scattering like Somalian villagers
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

From Robbo's 'Tackle' column:

Shaun Grigg

Shaun Grigg, keeps on keeping on. He is a midfielder/second ruck and vital to the Richmond set-up. Against the Suns, he had 26 disposals (second most of the year), 13 contested possessions and 14 score involvements (most of the year). Balmey, give this man a new contract.

Over the course of this season, Grigg is averaging 20.7 disposals, 4.4 marks and 3.8 inside-50s.

With his hard running, ball-winning ability, vast experience and high football IQ, he fulfils an important role in Richmond’s quest for the 2018 premiership.
