A couple of skill errors but overall a good game. 20 possessions Nd was involved in setting up a number of coastd to coasts.

Couple of his skill errors might be generous but it was good seeing him get involved offensively. Reminded me that when he was drafted he was was an attacking/ intercepting hb. 20 poss must be close to a career high.

I thought the skill errors were pretty poor and stood out as a result (that OOF for example) but there werent many and overall he had a good game as you say

His kicking technique is badly flawed but at least he is trying to create something which is a positive. I remember back to the dreamtime game some years back when he started and he started an attack from half back and after a chain of handballs he kept running to receive the ball back and then delivered to a leading player inside 50. Really thought he was going to be something moving forward but like alot of our 2nd tier players he has plateued performance wise for longer than he should.

Typical Richmond plodder - does 3 or 4 poor things for every good thing he does ...

That's the problem we have too many of them.

no one would take him, delist. Lozza I rated batch when we first drafted him, dont feel we developed him correctly though - should never have tried to bulk him up and turn him into a 3rd tall, should have always worked on his agility and speed which was subpar (always had the body strength). Unfortunately its too late now. The quicker Broad comes on the better off we'll be

should have always worked on his agility and speed

We did but unlike body size and strength, it changes very little if you're lucky

no we didnt - for 2-3 preseason we worked on bulking him up to make him a 3rd tall, when the penny dropped it was too late especially when youre talking about someone not blessed in this area.

You cant become Usain Bolt but you can see significant improvements especially off the mark if you train specific to it

Like every player coming out of the draft the aim is to bulk them up, but Batch did have a particular emphasis on working on speed and agility.

Disagree. The emphasis on speed and agility has only come about the past few seasons after the initial ballsup. Batch didnt need to be bulked up, he was very strong when he was first drafted. Always had a thick heavyset frame.

Fair enough. I guess we can agree that no matter what they did, the emphasis should have been on speed and agility.
