I'm sure those same people were getting excited late in 2009. His signs late in 2010 were pretty good. He struggled a bit early because he bulked up and wasn't used to the extra weight. Think he'll be a pretty good half forward/half back

I worry about his speed, defensive pressure and fight but I think perhaps this more to do with his overall fitness and understanding of the game more than any incorrectable flaw in his makeup. He is still very young but unfortunately for him, other talls are making quicker progress than he is. Given the new Substitution rule, Postie will be competing with Vickery, Browne and Derickx for the same position as 3rd tall forward/relieving ruckman so he will have his work cut out. He will have to prove his additional worth as a forward over the others because you would imagine the players mentioned would clearly have the edge on him during ruck duels.

A wish him all the best but I think Vickery may have the edge on him in terms of agility and pace at this stage.

Errr Not really because....

Had the same concerns back in 2009, and those came to the to the fore more in 2010 (read defensive side of his game being almost non-existent) and have created big ?? ?? ?? coming into 2011

Young tall, has done some growing since arriving at the club, groomed in a few different positions, my expectations are still quite low. Won't be getting concerned about his development unless he hasn't shown much improvement by the end of 2012.
Another 7-10 games this year.

Thought he showed a bit at the end of last season. I'd be happy with steady improvement.

not looking at overrall performance, just how he goes about the little things that are weaknesses in his game - chasing, defensive pressure, sustained running and his physical development like speed, strength size agility.

Agree. He's played a massive 15 odd games. I think his knockers need a reality check to realise they probably struggle to get out of their armchair let alone to ever being close to playing afl  8)

I don't have ridiculous opinions of Post though. I'll give him 2 years at least until I have an opinion. I have no problem getting out of an armchair though. Stopped playing footy after high school to watch the tiges instead  8)

Fair enough man but why retire? You would have been playing in the 11am game for your local club, so you'd still be able to see most Richmond games.   ;D

im accused of always being negative so will refeain from the negative.
what i like about him is the way he moves and believe it or not his aerial work.
yeah people will say but hes slow, which i would disagree with.
the thing  i was very disappointed with was his aerial work last yr.  he got his hands to contested marks numerous times only to have the ball spill. this is normally a strength of his and it was not until i found out he played most of the yr with some kind of hand injury that the penny dropped.

of course we all want him to work on the defensive side of his game and i hope he can regain yes regain a yard of pace. time is on this kids side ffs hes just entering yr 3. for a tall hes a baby.
