shame about grimes - but turn it into a positive he can look at some serious strength/size and conditioning improvements for the rest of the season and the pre season - come back 10kg bigger next year

agree, hamstring surgery wont stop him building his upper body, and a lack of running should help him pile on the pounds

and you're right, gives us a chance to look at another young defender

definite positives

still prefer him out there but thems the breaks

Biggest let down of the year for mine, even when not injured....just a waste, he has wasted his shot at the big time. Really if he doesn't show something soon, after he returns.... :help

C'mon J, you should know a bruised ego is 2-3 weeks, but a broken ego, that's a longer setback  ;)

Morton's quest to become a midfielder hasn't worked so far. Houli has basically come in and taken Mitch's spot in the side. Morton has natural skills but it's when he doesn't have the ball that's the problem.

Matt Hornsby talks about how we managed the boys over the bye

http://bigpondvideo.com/RichmondTV/360170/medical-room-first-bye/

* Bye came at a good time. Guys with fatigue, niggles and soreness. So good to have a physical break however kept them switched on mentally. Had to work on individual programs. Approach this week to training has been positive and they've attacked the track hard.

* We've cycled our group giving guys with niggles a week off so those niggles don't become serious issues later down the track. Done that over recent years given the young side we have. The structure of the byes for us this year have been good: 10 weeks - break - 7 weeks - break - 6 weeks.

* Individual programs are accessed via the net so they don't need to come into Punt Rd and there's no excuse not to follow them. They are a really diligent group so they've stuck to these programs. Really important to have them mentally freshened up as well so they don't drift through the week and a right and ready to go for the Swans game on Sunday. They head up there Saturday morning.

* Edwards has trained without restriction over the past two weeks so he's ready to go.

Kel Moore (hip) TBA

He was on crutches last night at the player sponsors dinner

So I do not know why we continue to go down the "TBA" path

Kel has said himself he wont play this season so why not just list it as "season"

Surely we are just looking at this season, nothing more; nothing less
