Matt Hornsby talks about how we managed the boys over the bye
http://bigpondvideo.com/RichmondTV/360170/medical-room-first-bye/* Bye came at a good time. Guys with fatigue, niggles and soreness. So good to have a physical break however kept them switched on mentally. Had to work on individual programs. Approach this week to training has been positive and they've attacked the track hard.
* We've cycled our group giving guys with niggles a week off so those niggles don't become serious issues later down the track. Done that over recent years given the young side we have. The structure of the byes for us this year have been good: 10 weeks - break - 7 weeks - break - 6 weeks.
* Individual programs are accessed via the net so they don't need to come into Punt Rd and there's no excuse not to follow them. They are a really diligent group so they've stuck to these programs. Really important to have them mentally freshened up as well so they don't drift through the week and a right and ready to go for the Swans game on Sunday. They head up there Saturday morning.
* Edwards has trained without restriction over the past two weeks so he's ready to go.
