Next week's NAB Challenge fixture has been confirmed on the AFL site .....

Saturday March 5
GWS v North Melbourne at Lavington, 7pm

Largest crowd north will have played in front of in years.

But for the fact the crowd will be massively biased to GWS.
Albury Wodonga area has a strong North following and they used to play their seconds games up there for a little while! It wil be a pro roos crowd!

Pathetic scheduling

Could be worse could be at 4pm when people still at work.

yeah it could but.....

To get there I would need to leave work before 4.00pm .... :banghead :banghead

Can hardly wait to see where the shunt us off to the following week

Maybe because the NAB Challenge isnt scheduled with "city folk" in mind but the surrounding community.   ??? ??? ::)

Arrhhhhh smokey, checked out the Western Ring Road these days with all its roadworks.

On Friday when we were coming home from Bright at around 3.00pm the Western Ring Greensborough bound was crawling and in places not moving

So yep would need to allow 3 hours  :thumbsup

Just to make it clear I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with it being played in country towns, actually think it is a great idea I enjoy the trips.

But I reckon the timing of it; a 7.00pm start is terrible and that's the issue I have

Playing in the country towns is actually great for the regions as well especially when we city folks make the trip  ;). Look at last year when we played Geelong for the Black Saturday charity game - the pubs and their bistros did a rawing trade :thumbsup

Pretty sure there was a note you could get in at the Alice last week with a membership card so hopefully it carries on for those attending.
