Come on Damien. Get real and shake this mob out of their slumber.
Hard decision time.

Heard that for the first time ever Hardwick lost it at the players during half time and gave it to them with both barrels. Lets see if the anger turns into some serious ommissions from the side going forward.

The spray worked because they lifted.
Time to see more of Damien Omen.

Very concerning if he's only just now lost it at them for the first time
Maybe for the first time he is seeing his job in jeopardy......

True

Job is safe until next April and  so it should be.

Deserves another chance to get us into finals

Round 1-6 next year will be some serious intense media scrutiny, if we don't make finals this year

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I'd be happy with Nason mk.II....criminally underrated footballer who at least he ran his guts out and was a far smarter footballer than many dunderheads still on our list.
Worst player to play AFL. End of story.

Ignorant comment. Not even close. At least half a dozen worse on our list right now - better than half the current list purely on work ethic and football nouse alone.
This will be interesting if you have the balls to back up your comments, but I'm guess you won't.
Name at least 6 players worse than Nason on you list now?
Name the half of our team that he is better than on work ethic and footy nouse?
Cannot wait for this.  :lol

too easy

Players worse than him:

Grigg
Dea
Helbig
O'Hanlon
Hamspud
McIntosh

As for players he was either smarter than , had a greater work ethic than or both....having thought about I'd actually revise my estimation from "half the list" to "most of the list" and so bearing that in mind and to save time....I'll just name the players he's not better than in those two areas:

Cotchin (both)
Riewoldt (both)
Martin (Smarts only)
Morris(Work ethic only)
Foley (work ethic only )
Maric (both)
Ellis (both including smarts-despite yesterdays stupidity)
Deledio(smarts only)
King (work ethic - smarts occassionally on par but generally not)
Thomas (work ethic only)
Vlastuin(both)
Newman (smarts only)
Jackson (work ethic only)

That is all.

oh...and just for fun & good measure...and seeing as you claimed he was the "worst player ever"....her's a list of players that were on the list at the same time, players no longer on the list that were retained for equal amount of time or longer or were drafted after him that he was also better than...

Nahas
Lonergan
A.Maric
Derickx
McGuane (yes I'm serious)
Graham
Gourdis
Post
Verrier
Wright
Webberly
McDonald
Thompson
Farmer
Hicks
Simon
Turner
Roberts
Silvester
Polo
Polak
Putt

I could go even further and included Richmond players of the last 20 years but frankly don't have the time and I doubt OER would have the bandwidth.

...like I said...too easy.....
:lol :lol :lol
That was awesome. Really funny stuff!
How is he doing now by the way? A player with so much talent must be dominating somewhere???

The worst thing he did was cut his hair short - it's as if Delilah cut his hair!

Even my mother got angry watching Nason play and she's not a Richmond supporter. She called me during a game once and said "tell that long haired gimp to stop waving his arms around". She didn't actually say gimp but she said something insulting.

He really was woeful. Wasn't on his own back in those days though

My only regret is that I forgot to include Collins, other than that I stand by my post 100% and humbly accept big tone's concession, veiled though it was.

Its not that he's a bad player, its just that he is clearly not part of the future. Another player needs to be given his game time.
Been a good servant, just needs to make way now.

disagree with the analogy.
another player needs to be given a game if newman is not performing to a good standard. no other reason.atm hes not performing to a consistent good standard and sure try someone else in his place.
if  ivans not a part of the long term  do we  not play him again.
target the mature players for the right reasons and we do need mature players no matter where the list is at so lets cut or pick em on form eh.

Bigger issues than Chris Newman.
Let's weed out players that don't want to tackle and chase first and move on down the line. Young, old, WGAF, if they don't want to be part of the most important part of the game, they go first.
Grigg
Ellis
Houli
We have already removed Vickory.
Then let's talk about replacing Newy.,

Conca has be putrid too but at least he has a crack, needs to pull his finger out but as I said, let's do it in order.

What is the point of Chris getting games now?
