He could be a mature age rookie if he wants to..... ;)

240 game veteran.
Was he picked this week so he could reach 250 games by season end?
Of course not, "there's no sentiment in footy".

Absolute joke he's come straight back into the side.

Actually not sure if I'm more angry at the coaches who selected him

Or with Newman for not saying "best I come back via the VFL", that's what a real "leader" would do  ::)

“It’s good that Newy is back after missing four or five weeks with his calf,” Tigers’ assistant coach Danny Daly told Roar Vision’s ‘Spotlight’

“He’s trained the house down the last couple of weeks and gives us a bit of experience out there and a bit of run.

“Whether we play him forward or back, not sure yet, but he’s a welcome addition to the side.”

Why don't we play him in the ruck, he seemingly can do no wrong
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cant say Im surprised. Last years selection in the elim final was a disgrace. Watching him limping around all game whilst we were down a man from the 3rd minute just made me seethe

Wonder what Presti would've thought?
