big decision to be made on the replacement for Mcguane

Thursfield will be purely a defensive player, while Grimes will provide some attack and needs a blooding.

Problem is if Grimes comes in we will have a very very inexperienced backline.

Maybe Miller may be an option ;)

We have a very inexperienced team fullstop.
Seems to be going ok so far & might as well continue with it rather than bring in 'experience' which has previously been found short of the mark.

Important to tag Burgoyne STRAIGHT AWAY! have Deledio playing on him or Hodge. Jackson might need to tag Hodge or Burgoyne.

Martin, Cotchin to go head to head with Sewell and Mitchell. Add Foley too.

That is what I would be planning firstly! Grigg too!

I find the problem with Astbury is that he doesn't actually punch the football away. Astbury seems weak with his positioning for the football.

Conca should be playing in the midfield, not "run with roles" with small forwards.

I would play Grimes ASAP as he has the ability to punch the football away.

OUT:

Edwards (has played badly two weeks in a row, has shown NO leadership and does not take the match on like Nahas ... just a waste of space)

McGuane (the obvious reason)

IN:

Grimes
Thursfield

TEAM:

Newman, Thursfield, Batchelor

Grigg, Astbury, Grimes

Houli, Deledio, Conca

King, Morton, White

Vickery, Riewoldt, Nahas

Graham

Foley

Cotchin

Martin, Jackson, Helbig

Connors (Sub)

Would have Astbury move to CHF to realise Vickery in the Ruck and provide Graham some time to rest.

Deledio plays in the midfield!

White to tag Hawthorn's most creative defender or get him sitting on Hodge, Burgoyne ...

I must admit, I think we need to bring in at least two talls for match up purposes, otherwise we'll be playing someone 6" shorter than Hale as his opponent.

Would have to agree and if we are looking at dropping off a small unfortunately that may just be Edwards..
