Brisbane ruckman Mitch Clark proves pricey for Richmond Mark Robinson
From: Herald Sun
June 30, 2011 RICHMOND is out of the race to sign uncontracted Brisbane ruckman Mitch Clark.
At $500,000-$600,000 a season, it is believed Clark has priced himself out, the Tigers now setting their sights on another ruckman.
Port Adelaide's Jackson Trengove, recruited from the Calder Cannons via Strathmore, has now been linked to the Tigers.
Speculation is Clark may be a Greater Western Sydney target, one of seven players linked to the club.
Tigers head of football Craig Cameron said of Clark yesterday: "We think he is a quality player but may be too expensive for us."
It was reported on superfooty.com.au yesterday GWS had made offers to midfielder Daniel Rich and Clark.
Brett Deledio and Nathan Foley will be available for free agency in two years, so the Tigers will need salary cap space to not only keep those two, but to reward young stars Trent Cotchin and Dustin Martin.
