From a Carlton fan on BF:

"I've heard that Richmond are monitoring the Scott Thompson situation at North Melbourne.

Dispute over money."

I asked Ralphy a question:

1:59 Comment From JVT
Ralphy, you said not long ago 'it's only fair' that the Tigers give up that compo pick to Adelaide for Maric . . . Are you dreaming mate? Should the Bulldogs give us Pick 19 back because McMahon was a dud? Should Hawks give Essendon another Pick 16 because Mark Williams only played a handful of games for them? Ridiculous thought process by you mate!

2:00   I like your McMahon analogy. What is fair then? How do they get Maric if Adelaide just play hard ball cos they feel they got shafted over the Tambling deal.
Point well made

Good to see you brought up his ridiculous call from previous chats.
If Adelaide play hard ball just tell Maric to walk or is he still contracted? Plus surely we aren't that desperate to over pay for Maric. If they want a first round pick RFC should just walk away.

Un-contracted. They asked and we told them to pee off.

Comment From tom
any players going to tigerland apart from maric?

Jon Ralph:
Tigers want to get aggressive, but the pool of available players is pretty slim.
Spoke to Daniel Jackson at the b and f and he said rumours about him going elsewhere were false - he wants to stay.
I thought maybe with all the mids they had Nathan Foley might get squeezed out if they wanted to trade, but the Tigers love him.
People high up used expressions like, ''We want to add to our midfield, not trade it away''. He is still out of contract though

Comment From guest
Any chance of Lake coming to Richmond a trade for either gus or browne and maybe mguane??

Jon Ralph:
Lake is the last thing Richmond want. They want all their bloke maturing together so they can win the premiership. He might only have two years left. Really liked the development years of Rance and Grimes. I fear for Kel Moore though. Four hip ops in a year. Not a great sign

Comment From Marcus
Don't be so sure that Mitch Clarke is going to Perth. He has 2 very interested Victorian clubs willing to offer him a large sum of money.

Jon Ralph:
Yeah, that's what I am hearing about Clark. He wants $500K a year though

As Ralphy would suggest maybe we given them something back to make up for Colin's not playing as much as Grigg did for us.

But seriously. Didn't Ratten say they was going after a key forward. We don't have any in surplus so I wonder who we're or they are going for. Maybe its a 3 way trade.

Hopefully it's something like Morton for their first rounder  ;D

We better not be touching Brick McLean...

Kane Lucas is the one Id be looking at from Carlton. High draft pick wasnt getting a game, a good kick of the footy. Would be good outside predominantly on a wing.

Collins was injured I think.  Grigg hasn't set the world alight so stuff them anyway, Collins was a proven goal kicker for us.

Calm down Owl, you starting to sound like Jon Ralph :gobdrop ;D ;D Collins was half the thickness of a match stick that got injured for them when the wind blew him over :lol Grigg is a lazy SOB who needs to HTFU but has way more upside than Collins ever did.....
