I don't even know if it would be that far
Could almost say it would be like living as far out as Brighton or Hampton
or going out West either Williamstown or Altona would probably be a better comparison

Brighton has trees. Water. Good looking people.

West sydney full of lower class suburbs. poo place.

I'd be surprised if that document "GWS Confidential.pdf" was actually created by GWS. It came from a site with absolutely no connection to them :lol

As for them not being able to attract players because of the suburb where their training HQ is, what a load of cobblers. GWS as a region is massive, some 350 suburbs, and there is a lot of waterfront areas and suburbs with median house prices well over the $1m mark. Not that they have to live where they work, i'm sure they wont be banned from the eastern suburbs, north shore, inner west etc. nor will they be put off by a commute. Sydney sells itself.

The problem will be the players seeing how uncompetitive Gold Coast is. That is a real worry.

The Ablett argument that he wanted to be a part of creating something from the bottom up doesn't really wash with the RFC players either. That's what they have got at the RFC. For one of our top players to leave for a reason other than money would have to be seen as a huge vote of no confidence in our current process. Our top players should be on decent contracts anyway. Hell, we have salary cap room.

A fringe player possibly yes, since they may leave for more opportunities. Similar to Houli and Grigg coming to us. Is GWS interested in fringe players though?

West Sydney is a hole. Money is money but geez youd be hard pressed wanting to live there.
Tell me more Deborah Hutton. ::)  I live in Western Sydney 10 flags and I'd be really interested to know how you came to that opinion? Watching news reports and snippets from Today tonight?
Gimme a break. Where I live the air is fresh, I have more grass and trees than Concrete and the only sirens I hear are for buffoons who have run off the road or Volunteer Bushies attending the odd fire.
I can understand that you entertain a dislike for a football Club like GWS but I would be greatly appreciate it if you would refrain from tarring everyone who lives in the west of Sydney with the same brush.
Maybe you should head up for the first Tigers v GWS match and I can open your eyes and show you how amazing some parts of western Sydney really are.

As if any AFL player will make a decision on which club to play for based on which suburb(s) the club represents.  Like saying no-one would play for the Western Bulldogs because they would have to live in the Western Suburbs.   :lol

I've lived in funnel web central for 12 years now and the only one I have seen live was at Toronga Zoo  ;D
We still take precautions by checking shoes and keeping clothes off the ground.
We have been visited several times by large tree snakes but they are not venomous.

woke one morning a few years ago to find a python crawling over our bed. it had been living behind the cupboard.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
