I wouldn't say no to old Richo floating around on the wing and resting deep forward. Well stuff, I wouldn't say no to that idea if I was coaching now  ;D I love that beast.

Love Richo to death but no.

Enjoying this thread... Just a straight up NO for Richo from you nzseteb hujfufu cuig ?
Enlighten me mate ?

One of the most exciting players to play the game.

but if we are talking about putting people into our current structure then Richo doesn't fit.

It comes down to the the fact that I would prefer Jack to Richo.

Roger Dean an underrated leader and backman.
Royce Hart to play CHF and come on to the ground injured as he did in the 73 Prelim and change the game. Big game matchwinner.
Michael Greene ruckman who was a great tap ruckman and had a prescence around the ground with real footy smarts.

Michael Green won us a couple of flags but at 193cm too small to play ruck in the modern game.

A few more recent ones: Richo (just because he almost was the heart and soul of the club for over a decade), Benny Gale (was a top quality ruckman, something we're in desperate need of), and Wayne Campbell (solid contributor over a long period of time who gave his all every game).

Given what Dimma's done with the likes of Rance, Nahas and King - what would he do with a 17 year old Richo?

If only... :cheers

Piper I hope you are not saying that Naish was a poor player because if do that is the same logic as saying Ty Esler was the greatest ruckman at the club. As for Stafford he was a good contested mark which is what we need now in the case you haven't noticed. Agree with comments about Gale

What a thought.

OK I change my picks to

KB (to kick 30 goals in a finals series),

Billy Barrot (to teach the kids how to do a drop kick)

and Richo (as a 17yo)

Don't be ridiculous Limmy ! Steven O'Dwyer was clearly the greatest ruckman in RFC history  ;D

Oh and yes that was exactly what I was saying about Naish. He was average at best. Had a reasonably good season in 1995 and that's about it. Ask Port Adelaide how good he was.
Stafford was ok but I could name 100 ex tiger players I'd have in today's team before him.

Stafford was a quality ruckman. Pity he went hunting for blood more often than Dan Jackson.
