Father-daughter in this case.

Fantastic to see Maria Rioli in the Allies squad for the 2023 AFL National U18 Girls Championships.

We might see her join her Brother Maurice Junior and Daniel at Tigerland.

From PMBangers - a draftee watcher on BF:

"Naish has a bit to like about him, but I think his ceiling is a good state league level player given there's nothing that stands out in his game or athleticism"

Time will tell. He will nominate us and we will probably get him cheaply.

Anyone know why Charlie Naish hasn't played for the Northern Knights in their last two games? Is he injured or playing for his school?

Richmond father-son Charlie Naish boots five goals in private school footy showcase match

Dan Batten

August 17, 2023

Richmond father-son prospect Charlie Naish kicked a bag of five goals in AGSV’s narrow nine-point loss in its showcase clash against APS.

Naish, the son of former Tiger Chris and young brother of delisted Tiger and Eagle Patrick, finished with 21 disposals, nine marks and 125 SuperCoach ranking points in an imposing showing at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar.

Naish missed out on Vic Metro selection but played for Richmond’s VFL side earlier this season.

But he was outdone by Wesley College forward Ben Hill, who led the APS side to victory with a stunning eight goal haul, tallying 17 disposals, 10 marks and 169 SuperCoach points.

It caps a strong APS season for Hill where he was the third highest goalkicker, including 5.5 against Geelong Grammar in the final round.

Naish’s AGSV and Northern Knights teammate Kristian Ferronato was everywhere, finishing as the top ranked player on the ground with 41 disposals, 18 contested possessions, nine clearances, two goals and 171 SuperCoach points.

Liam Walters continued his recent Coates Talent League form with a team-high 29 disposals, nine inside 50s, six clearances and 135 SuperCoach points for APS, with Scotch College and Sandringham Dragons product Cooper Lord tallying 27 disposals, six marks and 140 SuperCoach points himself.

Geelong Grammar forward Reef Page had 13 disposals, six marks, two goals and 111 SuperCoach points for APS, while Geelong College representative Tom Gorell kicked two majors.

Still doesn't appear to be highly rated by anyone though.... :shh

Really need to somehow get a top 10 pick so we have a shot at Caddy's nephew.... :shh :shh

Kristian Ferronato will probably choose basketball, has already represented Australia... :shh :shh :shh

Should get Boston Dowling ...have more than a feeling about him.... :shh :shh :shh :shh

Charlie Naish's Northern Knights were bundled out in the semi-finals.

I'm guessing we'll be picking him up with our last pick if we do.

Q. Hey Davo. Quick question. Is Charlie Naish likely to be drafted or will he make it to the rookie draft? Or not at all.

A. I'm not sure, in the mid season bigfooty Phantom draft I was tossing up between a few with one of my late picks, I ended up settling with Naish, since then he missed VM selection and didn't really do well at CTL level, also didn't get a combine invite so chances are low.
