Let's hope it is "only" a dislocated knee which is back in and no other structural damage  .

If it's "only" dislocated and not too bad then no. Maybe a month out. He was in a lot of pain. Any further structural damage then yes gone for the season.

They just showed it on tv. McGlynn's full body weight went on Astbury's legs as he was tackled front on.

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick has confirmed defender David Astbury could miss the remainder of the AFL season after he dislocated his knee in Sunday's narrow loss to the Swans.

The 20-year-old had to be stretchered from the field in the sixth minute of the first term after suffering the sickening injury in a collision with Swans midfielder Ben McGlynn.

"I think he's dislocated his knee cap so he's probably done for the year which is really disappointing," Hardwick said.

"It'd be fantastic if he gets back this year but we're not too sure at this stage."

Yep let's hope it's nothing more and he returns as good as new  whether that's later this season or not.
