Best mate is a geelong fan, he said if you swap colours to navy blue and white it could pass as a Geelong Cats logo...  don't really agree but it looks to much like a cat for mine.

No issue changing the logo, just get it right.
Go Tigers!

It is putrid.

If you need a video to sell your logo then your logo is stuffed.

Did you put that video up because the same bloke drew the neck on He-Man as on the tiger Gerks?
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

Gerks 27/6/11

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

Makes me feel like a beer.

:lol Correct. It looks like an asian beer logo.

I'm very underwhelmed by the logo. Way too much white on the chest. I do like the snarl on the tigers face but that's all I like about it.
The banner ad is amateurish.
The cartoon in the club video of the tiger running up to and bursting thru the logo was high school standard.
The video itself had the production values of a public service training video and if Bill Hunter was still alive would probably have narrated it.

All of these things may bother me less if I knew how much the club was spending on it. But it seems members aren't allowed to know these things lately, because hey we are all as one. They should have made this an occasion for the fans to get involved. For example I'm sure Popelord could have designed a better banner than that and he would have done it for the price of a complimentary 11 game membership. What a waste of money this is.

This similarity was asked about at the fan forum. The answer was the new logo was accepted by IP Australia so there's no expected legal issues.

I've heard it cost $150k but I have nothing to back that it up or verify it if it's true. Seems waaaay too much for a logo design.

The Club was reluctant for supporter involvement as the design needed to be cleared by the AFL who own our IP right and while it didn't have trademark protection anybody could steal a prototype design and register it before the Club does.

Walt Disney would love it....

it looks cheap-really stuffing cheap-and it looks like we have complete shitman making callsandworking on our marketable futire as a supposed football club.

Seriously, this looks like an Advertisement fro a cheap, summer animation Flick about a heartless tiger.

The "Glow" in the centre of the disgusting yellow looks like it was stolen from a christian website.

It's just a stuffing joke and so r all the duckwits that said they liked it at the club.

I hate you bastards.

On behalf of RollsRoyce, here are a couple of Tiger designs he came up with for run-throughs for the cheer squad.

Spot on DC.  You summed up my thoughts on the appearance of the logo exactly.  And the idea of putting the design out into 'supporter land' has a lot of merit - didn't Port get their current jumper design that way?

They look about as angry as I did in that rd24 Nth Melb. game, when BT said that I should go home. But seriously, a couple of things that were said at the forum which beggared belief were that they didn't want to come up with a logo that frightened the kids. And that the new Tigers face conveyed a sense of optimism.
