Nah I dont think so WAT. Still a year to go on his contract, so definitely not. But if we are in the same possie next year and we lost by 30 goals.....

Yeah true JT.....let's hope we are not in that position next year then!

So I have to ask, if we had been flogged like the Dees were..........would they have sacked Hardwick???

I think they actually may of, not that I would like to see it happen.

Absolutely NOT

Of course they wouldn't have, just like they didn't with Wallace, because they are too scared someone will write that they 'eat their own' and it is just typical Richmond to sack a coach.

bump ...

Hardwick still the man?

Certainly is. Still has a season and 6 games to run in his contract.

Is Hardwick responsible for Jako Edwards McGuane Thursty White etc?

He's responsible for how they played this year....

He's responsible for playing them over others.

Does this guy have a halo over his head, ffs!!?

Dean Bailey was worse than Tim Watson and Danny Frawley Melbourne persisted with him for far too long. I just might add that Karma is a bitch isn't it Dean read tanking for draft picks. Bailey should have been sacked last year at the very latest. Hardwick doesn't compare to Bailey "YET". If Damian has a year like this one next year then I will really fear for his position, the losses we have had this year are not to dissimilar to Melbournes and if continues into next year then Hardwicks in trouble.

This time next year Hardwick will be in the gun or sacked.

Face it Richmond supporters, we aren't going to make the finals in 2012.

Are players are mentally weak and we don't have a game plan andddddd we do not run hard with or without the football like other teams.

Hardwork is doing everything the board has directed him too. As hard as it is for some to swallow - his job is almost purely developmental and educational. It's about building up the foundations and structure for the future. Hardwick was not hired as a tactical coach. He may well become one but his, and his assistants, strengths are foremost in the one area that has dragged us down into medrocity for decades - developmenting. Forget recruiting, forget tactics, they are useless if you can not get the best out of what you have. Hardwick was given definite goals to reach and he has more than reached them. Until the goals switch back to onfield success then he is as safe.

:yep

His job is to deliver a blueprint for success, not necessarily success itself.

If he gets a renewal of his contract that will change.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

The annual messiah hunt.  Cracks me up.  People always want short cuts, instant success but you ignore simple facts such as... Malthouse took years to build Collingwood up and they are one of the most well resourced clubs in the comp.
Lots of people name their swords......
