Too much "big game" building up I think, wish we could remain a little more low key going into these contests. I think sometimes we get overwhelmed.

Trouble is WAT, we're not going to win any premierships if we shy away from the hype and don't learn to overcome it.

I am not saying shy away, just tone it down a bit, it's been like throwing the sheep to the wolves with these games and  I believe it has gone against us, all but the Blues game but that was lucky. Very much pressure on the Tigers this year and it gets exploited by the media weekly, just waiting for us to crack and go on a losing streak.

Would just like to see us go into a game like GC, GWS, Dogs and a few others go in, just a game a football on a Saturday!!

I can see why you say that WAT but I think it's something we have to seek out and conquer.  Agree that it would be nice to be 'left alone' before a big game but Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn et al get the hype thrown at them and I see it as part of the development and learning curve our guys need to have.

Yeah goes both ways I suppose, I would just like it a bit quieter until we can match it with these teams, the Cats and Pies game showed we are another year off, anyway, good for development I suppose.

Doesn't worry me one or another to be honest, it's round 1 there's always going to be hype.

With Round 1 I certainly don't get worked up if we lose it and think seasons over just like I don't buy into we are going to make finals if we win it. It is what it is 

But this game is different, this game is the showcase for this round, it's important, it gets embraced by all footy fans so it brings alot of hype and involves more than the game itself. 

Therefore, the hype is different and it's great for us. Love this game and what it stands for

Has been murdered all year. Maric is fast  becoming a one hit wonder. I am concerned we have placed too much faith in him. Its time to either develop own decent ruck or find another.
