The NEW forum version 2.0 is here!!!

After much anticipation and testing over the past month or two, the new and latest software version of the forum is finally up and going as you can see .

We're hopeful everything is working perfectly but as this is the first time we've uploaded the latest software to the actual forum there may be some slight glitches or teething problems that need ironing out. If you notice any please let us know in this thread. Any other thoughts are most welcome as well.

ps. We still need to upgrade the non-forum pages around the site so we're aware the pages the top links connect to are also in need of an upgrade and update which is our next task.

There are more features with this latest version to check out. As well as the long awaited ignore list lol, there's also a buddy list which highlights your "buddies" in the user online section when they are logged on.

The ignore list still only appears to ignore PMs not posts.

Or am I doing something wrong?

It works for posts as well. For anyone in your 'ignore list' their posted message will be replaced with "You are ignoring this user. Show me the post." So it'll still display they posted something; it just won't show you what it is unless you choose to click on "show me the post".

I've got a question about the navigation. 

I'm using Firefox and Safari, on different hardware - Windows XP and iThingee.

At the bottom of any thread page, when I hit the "Go Up" button, it no longer takes me to the Navigation line at the top of the page.  The scrolling stops at the first post on the page, then I have to manually scroll up to the navigation line to choose "Richmond Rant" to get back to the topic list page.

Bit of a nuisance, but not a show-stopper.

Is it something I've done in my forum settings or browser settings?

In IE and Firefox the navigation line appears directly below the Go Up link so there is really no need to go back up.
