LOL AFL had Carlton as their finals mascot.

Now we know why.

Only took the first game of the NAB Cup to be ripped off by the little lime green men in particular No.32 who had no idea ::). I counted roughly 4 goals to North from suspect frees with the non-free at our HF line to A.Maric IIRC directly followed by Petrie getting a free in front of their goal for being knocked by a feather the worst :banghead. They are momentum changes and it cost us being 2-0 on the night. It'll probably be a waste of time I know but the Club should make an official complaint before the real stuff starts.

I agree 100%. It was almost as if the players had been in suspended animation since our round  24 clash last year,  then somebody pushed a button to re-set it in motion, and the green maggots just picked up exactly where they left off. Same venue, same team same result. Ripped off.

Umpires cost us the game against those characterless supporterless effs.
Hawthorn as good as they are and as much as they were experimenting yesterday are a very undisciplined side and give away silly frees.

The free that was paid to Petrie against Rance was an absolute disgrace.   >:(

Yep considering Maric was decapitated in the play prior to Nought taking the ball off us and and then Petrie getting the free kick for air passing him over the shoulder that would not have fluttered a feather.

It was almost like the maggots were getting desperate to find ways to keep Nort in the game.  And Rance's free was paid for holding - every video replay from every angle showed that to be absolute crap, Petrie was actually the one that 'held' if anyone did.  At no point did Rance grab the jumper (the classic reason) or the body but Petrie did hold Rance's arm for a period.

Good sides can win games when the umpires are poo. I'm more worried about us leaking easy goals like nothing else than crying about umpires.

Yeah that has been my bitch, and the trend is that they get them all in the first half, we get sweet FA and then they either put their whistles away in the second half or do some harmless square ups to make the books look decent.

This is what annoys me the most. By the time they start evening up the numbers, the damage is already done. I hate blaming umpires when we're playing poorly, but for goodness sake it'd be nice to have the odd game here or there where the opposition don't get 2 or 3 goals given to them as a freebie.
Push up!
