Not sure if I was dreaming but I swear I read someone post on here (or BigFooty? :-[) that the teams who played GCS just the once this year will get GWS twice next year. That and no team will play both GCS and GWS twice next year.

The AFL has said the latter. No team can play both the Suns and Giants twice next year (otherwise it'll be a freebie 16 points for most sides).

For us it looks like we'll play twice Carl, Ess & Port. We'll play the Suns only once again as we've sold our home game. We haven't play the Pies twice since 2007 so we'll probably play them once again as well until we look like we can be at least competitive against them. I wouldn't mind playing the Saints and Dogs twice. They're on the slide and if we want to claim we have improved then we need to finally break our hoodoo against both of them.

We usually play the Swanettes twice too

COLLINGWOOD will have five interstate trips - Port Adelaide (Round 4), Brisbane (Round 7), Adelaide (Round 9), GWS (Round 18) and Sydney (Round 20).
How convenient for the Pies. No trips to Perth  ::).

Yep makes it more likely we'll end up with 2 Perth trips now  :-\
Since the inception of Freo it will be just 16 home and away games in 18 years for Collingwood in Perth  ::).

Speculation continues to mount that the power clubs will be rewarded with even more Friday night exposure next season, giving Channel 7 more bang for its buck. The AFL has, in the past spread the love, trying to accommodate all clubs on the big stage. This year, it appears the squeeze is on the lower-drawing teams.

Gerald Healy on 3aw said Hawthorn has 6 interstate trips on top of their 4 Tassie home games which means they'll only play 12 games in Victoria.

Apparently Adrian Anderson on Monday said teams who played GCS just the once this year will get them twice next year. Not sure if that will apply to us though as it would mean we'd have two games in Qld against Gold Coast.

If that's true (and I find it hard to believe to be honest) then that means all the Vic games will be a the MCG as that's one of the "conditions" of them playing in Tassie all Melb games must be at the MCG  ::)

Pretty sure its all Melbourne home games. They sometimes play an away game at Etihad like the Carlton game when Lewis flogged Judd. The draw vs the Saints a couple of years back etc.

That,s most likely why they are sending them away so much then. Could you imagine the crowds playing GWS, GC, Port and Freo at the G :lol :lol

Stand corrected I knew all the melb home games had to be at the MCG but I also thought it meant away games as well
