Which is why I said he "has not re-signed beyond 2011".
Begs the question though of when he decided he would be going O/S and makes the timing of his replacement more acute.

I believe that potential candidates have been interviewed and lined up since not long after round 24, think I saw somewhere that Nick Stevens would be filling one of the 4 spots, could be imagining things though.

Agreed that it's a long list. They really are more the type of questions the board should ask about planning and process.

At a Fan Forum where I think the new coaches will probably be presented, I think the questions should be:
What is the coaching structure for 2012 and who does what?
Where will the extra resources (3 staff) be placed?

Nick Stevens was a part-time specialist coach this year (kicking I think) and it's been mostly fan forum speculation he would go full-time.

What would make you think that , there's any number of factors why cadidates may have elected to pursue roles other than what we offered. Anyhow, challenge is healthy and Id encourage you to go if you feel strongly about certain issues

Isn't it that Ross Smith is in charge of overall defensive strategy, Mark Williams in charge of overall attacking stragegy, then the 'line' coaches of Leppa, Lade and Daly?

Don't know about Campbell, who was doing opposition analysis, or the development coaches though.

"Silly assumptions". Don't know about Smith but Williams was only after he left Melbourne (read their website send-off).
Prospective candidates for development would include coaches outside the AFL clubs, what's the holdup since we knew they were needed months ago?
"Any number of factors" for Craig and Bailey would primarily be the role and the planned business culture/structure, even before money.
In my initial post I said why I could not get there. I suggest you actually read and try and understand what I post before encouraging me to

Basically why didn't we tank in 2009-10 for priority picks when our season was shot and we only had 1-2 wins at the midpoint of each of those seasons. It went down well as Tucky and TM can attest .

Just got home from the fan forum.

Tonight was all about the new logo from the initial thinking processes and discussions through to the final logo they have come up with and how it will look on clothing apparell, membership cards, stickers, etc. The whole process has taken a year and is designed to coincide with the change from the first two transition years under Hardwick and Benny Gale to now moving forward and hopefully upwards.

We were told to keep things hush-hush until tomorrow all will be revealed publicly tomorrow morning at 6am in an email to all members which will link to the logo and a video about it.
