So gone ...

Taylor, Nason, Farmer and Morton from the senior list.

O’Reilly, Hislop, Westhoff, Hicks, Contin and Jakob from the rookie list.

My question as well.  That's two onto the list, four off the list, three picks minimum in the draft?

Apart from Contin, the rest were expected for mine. Our rookie list was wasted with types who weren't up to AFL level. Hislop, Hicks and Jakobi should never have been rookied in the first place.

If we move Newman to outside veterans list would that give us another spot on the senior list

Fair to say come lucky blokes protected by contracts for 2012

And BTW so much for Hartley's comment yesterday about de-listings being announced mid Nov  ;D

I like it  :thumbsup sends a clear msg that they know exactly where they're at, when you know just get on with it  and be done with it.

It was O'Reilly's decision, not the club's.

^ agree mate...get into preseason with a clear & concise view of where we're at and going...if they've already made their mind up, no point dragging it out - plus it's fair on blokes being shunted that they can prepare for life after footy or for having another crack...

...no major surprises for me - pretty satisfied with how we've handled the last couple of weeks...got some upgrades in, made positive moves re drafting positions and got rid of some guys who obviously weren't up to it and/or part of our plans...

...also agree that there's a few fellers who are lucky they are contracted & they know who they are...

Out: Thursty, Farmer, Morton, Nason, Taylor
In: Maric, Morris

So we're now down to the required 35 player (on senior list) cut off needed for the first list lodgement on Oct 31. It gives us 3 ND picks - 15, 26 & 55. We would need to offload another if we plan to promote Miller  :P and use two picks in the ND and a PSD pick.
