He lead the state Libs to a loss at state level handing the them Bracks Govt an increased majority

Thanks WP for clearing that up but isn't all that ancient History now that Bracks is long gone? Does Owl have a long memory or is there something more recent that this guy has done?

True - but he was just one of those pollies that polarises opinion and I suppose people still scratch their head as to how he was ever elected leader. He was just a very poor state pollie. 

Well he is now Lord Mayor of Melb (took over from John So) which is a bit of nothing position IMHO

Recently he had removed a F-CUK billboard on the City Link freeway removed because he said it was an eyesore and then admitted he didn't know who or what F_CUK was

I like this thread because it highlights the poor quality of human beings that have been/are in charge of all things Richmond.
Now there look to be some exceptions emerging from the steaming pile of rubble that is Richmonds administration but if this wave of "re-building" fails the one G March will shoot to the top of that steaming heap

I think this is the best shake the club has given it since we fell from grace IMHO Yellow and Black.
Tiga, sorry for the assumption you knew what I was on about and the cryptic responses, Doyle is a two time failed opposition politician whos ego led him to seek a consolation prize in the ceremonial position of LORD mayor ( it has LORD in the title!) which he now uses to strut around as if he owns the city of Melbourne and make political statements as though he is actually a powerful being, he did use one power to send the storm troopers in and beat up some protesters against big business and mining dictating terms to our elected Governments (who are meant to represent the interests of the people) despite the fact they had broken no laws.  So Gina Reinhart and her billions and co can feel safe they are protected against dissent by the thin blue line and LORD mayor Doyle.
