Pick #26 Brad McKenzie (Sturt)

DOB: 29/5/93. Ht: 188cm. Wt: 75kg.
Pos: Medium defender.

Brad is one of the best kicks in this years draft. Whilst he is listed as a medium defender, given time to develop, he will make an excellent medium midfielder with both inside and outside attributes. He also is very good overhead and has strong hands. The Richmond Football Club is rapt that he made it to selection 26 as we were certain he would go much earlier.
Whilst he does not possess explosive speed over 10m, over 20m he really kicks into another gear and shows true pace.

Check out his video and you will see that this kid is all class.

Is a good video.  Especially like his lace out passes into the forward line.  Getting him could help release Lids into the midfield

Pick #26 Brad McKenzie (Sturt)

Watching him, he reminds me of Simon Black. Good pick.

Those were my thoughts too wayne.  :thumbsup

Flags, In the combine He came 7th in the agility run with an 8.12 (7.80 was first) and he did the 20m sprint in 3.08 sec so I wouldn't call him slow, but more like deceptively quick.

WP, remember what David Astbury looked like when he came to the club? Despite the 7cm height difference, I would put Brad in the same mould as Astbury.

Adelaide
Pick 27
Michael Talia – KPD
Height: 193cm

With the losses of Bock and Davis, the crows need another tall KPP.  Talia will fill this.  I'm surprised he hasn't been taken already.

Selection 28: West Coast Eagles - Tom Sheridan 185cm and 76kg Calder Cannons
Produced some outstanding results at the camp. 9.57 for the 3km time trial to finish 3rd overall, 15.7 for the Beep to finish 3rd overall and 83% kicking efficiency to finish equal 9th position. Good in the contest and was captain of his side for about 6 weeks which shows potential leadership. West Coast is very happy to have Tom Sheridan join Sam Frost as our first two picks. Richmond should have selected better in the phantom draft.  ;D

#29 - Fremantle - Shane Kersten (Height: 190cm Weight: 88kg)

Freo are delighted that Shane is still available at #29. Strong leading forward who performed well for WA last year, but missed this year due to a shoulder injury. Has everything you want from a key forward, with strong hands and being a good shot on goal.

Ross Lyon says:
We rated Shane in our top 3 players so to get him at #29 was a great bonus for us. Under my coaching regime though, he'll waste away in the WAFL for 5 years, learning the finer points of our dour defensive style and having his creativeness and love for the game sapped from him, while super recruit Hack Dawson and some other recycled average player get a game ahead of him.
And you may not think I care for you

Brisbane
Pick 30:

Jack Crisp
HT: 189cm

Medium MId

Won the Murray Bushrangers B&F in 2011 and also represented Vic Country. Reliable mark. Finished in the top 15 in kicking assessement (83% efficiency) at the combine. Also scored well in the standing vertical jump. Brisbane see Jack as a re-bounding defender or mid-fielder
