RFCO, could you please explain the rationale for contract announcements?

Why do some contracts such as these insignificant ones get fanfare, and yet I understand Daniel Jackson was resigned recently yet nothing?

If I am correct it would seem to me that the club is only making announcments that will be popular or at least neutrally received.

Surely the members deserve better communication than that?

Jackson hasn't re signed. The guy rules the multi media airways! If he had resigned we would have heard all about it by now ;D

The Club rates Dea much higher than most supporters do so that's why he got 2 years. I would say the jury is still out on him. BrownE and Webbs one-year deals would say they need to show something more next year or they are gone.

can someone please give me the explanation of the word "'promising"" ?

Dont be silly Jackstar, everyone knows promising means; Edwards, Patterson, Meyer, Hislop, Polo, Connors, etc....etc...we have and have had so many really promising players!!!!!!

Personally I don't think Browne is upto Afl standards but happy to be proven wrong. Agree would have only signed Dea for a year not two.
