Mat Loyd was just on the Today show and listed his expected top 7 teams, then a group of 4 fighting out for 8th spot headed by Bombers but no Tigers. The guy has always looked a bit simple to me, something not quite there upstairs!   ::)

Don't expect a "football" person to put the Tigers into a battle for the 8.
Look at our history, no respct

1. Still not good enough
2. Ruckman too short
3. Usual umpiring crap against the Blues
4. Lack of a tall class defender

It's always no excuses. Funny how that changes when we lose.
Push up!

Carlton have polish.
We don't.
Carlton have skill.
We don't.
Carlton have options.
We don't.
Carlton have a lower tier of players that get involved and do their jobs.
We don't.
Until we address the above we will wallow outside the 8.

Seriously, WAT. Do you honestly think we are a better outfit than Carlton??
Lets get real here. They are likely top four, we are unlikely top eight.
They have more class and more experience than us and the result reflected this. its as simple as that.

Seriously, yes I do. We did not play the football we are capable of playing, simple.

We played better in the preseason, when we hammered the Cats, apparently our skills were sublime....where was that against the Blues. Where was Martin, look at Riewoldts body language, where was Nahas, Deledio was average, Jackson OMFG, we turned the ball over, made stupid decisions, mistakes and don't even get me started on Edwards.....

All of the above that I have mentioned is not reflective of that Cats game! Preaseason or not, we clearly did not take that into round one.

Round one.......NO EXCUSES.....

Let's see how we go against the Pies, we go in again full strength.

 :lol

as much as it pains me, the blues are a much better side than us.

You can only play as well as your opposition allow you, which is why we could not consistently reproduce the form we did against an under age side and a under strength half hearted team

WAT makes a good point about our skills. Obviously the Cats game was only NAB Cup but the skills dropped off massively for the Carlton game

increased pace of the game and pressure applied would play a part in that

hopefully we can improve on that this week and not get smashed by the scum
