4 years in and how many games? yet he panics when he doesnt have to and repeatedly turns the ball over. the forwards must want to throw rocks at him, i know i do.

Lloyd has him in his all arse side so those of us see him panic kick when he is clear must be imagining it.

http://www.afl.com.au had him in the top 35 in the league

someone seems to rate him

personally i think you can carry, if the rest of the 20 players contained less passengers

rather than dredging up other morons views on him, why dont you tell us about the valid crtisisms being laid on him and why you dont think they are that important or what makes you think he can overcome them?

they may be morons but they are morons working for http://www.afl.com.au that happens to be the people running the sport.

imo -  crtisisms being laid on him are very valid

i doubt he will over come them cause contested football is not his thing from my non expert opinion.

my advice would be continue to develop him in like Gaff - but get rid of the spuds like Newman, Houli, Grigg as you can only carry so many sub par players in a 22

Ellis has positive attributes that come in handy, when things are going well. This might have been what had http://www.afl.com.au consitiering him for the mid-season AA side

im assuming he has been coached to do those stuip chip kicks are team instruction

i doubt he has been coached to throw the ball onto his boot without picking a target when he is clear. that to me is the biggest thing, because invariably it ends up in the oppositions hands.

im not overly concerned by him being a buffalo girl, they are always part of the mix, but they need to be polished disposes of the ball, something he is not.

He used to be a good long kick and was always an excellent overhead mark - not even seen seeing that now. Just has no composure at all.  We need to be aggressive and serious at the trade table this off -season and I'd seriously consider offering him up because he'd still have fair value.

I understand the sentiment but would've thought there are 5 or 6 players who are more seasoned and don't have any upside that you would trade or retire ahead of a 21 year old in his 4th season.

That is actually the reason you WOULD trade him

The others have no value, no wants them. This kid would as I said get you a first rounder.

That's what this club needs to do

And for once I just wished they'd be brave at trade time.

This year is as good as any to start, be daring, be brave

I believe Brandon to be a very good footballer, who just needs to be taken aside by the coaches to learn that he must eradicate the schoolyard kick stats from his game. I would also suggest that maybe some of the assistant coaches , rather than developing structures and video footage of such , actually identify weaknesses in players and focus in on changing those. All the structures and team rules in the world will not cover for individual errors. It's a bit like "if you build your house upon the sand......"

Although I don't agree with your thoughts on Ellis the footballer, I reckon your points about what the assistant coaches should be doing are great. It should be applied to all players

A few clubs would probably take Grigg & Houli - they just wouldn't give us much for them.

No it's not. He's our best 21 yo footballer and you give up on him?
He might get better is all I'm saying.
