Looks to have apogee the short dinky kick disease

Reckon his biggest strength is his long kicking and it's gone missing big time this season

Agree. Needs to go back to kicking the ball long. It is a real strength. No need for dinky short kicks.

Seem to remember after we picked him up watching his draft video and the thing that stood out most was definitely his long kicking. Not seeing it at the moment.

Sometimes l wonder if this lad has been playing with some sort of injury or someone got into him about the way his was going. He seemed to go very hard today & was very good

Miles talking about Brandon's year so far:

“He’s been fantastic. He’s having another great season. He’s starting to be a real leader out there and demanding high standards of others which has been fantastic. We won contested possessions and tackles for the second week in-a-row and Brandon set the scene there. It’s been a real focus of his lately and for him to be leading the way in that is a real positive for our group. He’s really driving those standards for the other players.”

Excellent game from a very good footballer.

Makes me laugh when some on here put him in the same bracket as Conca.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

His running ability is starting to impact in clutch moments. That last quarter was one out of the box. Was everywhere, particularly in our defensive 50
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

He is busting his guts & lifted to the next level. The harder this lad pushes, The better he gets. BT calling him Taylor Hunt when he was chasing down the ball in the last 1/4  :snidegrin BT really hates the Tiges. Outstanding game by Brandon  :thumbsup

Ellis made Robbo's 'likes' this week:

3. Brandon Ellis:
Has gone 33, 24, 29, 31 and 33 disposals in his past four games and was judged best afield on Saturday night. Some people say he has no tricks. Try tremendous nous and a tank that keeps driving him when others are collapsing around him.

Can never blame this guy for not running hard. Knows how to find the footy and runs and runs and runs. At this rate he could end up being the best of the 2011 draft.

how many games has this panic merchant played?

it poos me to tears the amount of time he rushes his disposal under perceived pressure, when there is actually none. :banghead :banghead

He's a bloke who would bring something of value at the trade table and i would do it in a heartbeat.  he's a liability in high pressure games and can GAGF

Post of the year. I have been saying this about Ellis for ever, stuff the high stats he gets, he butchers the ball and puts every player under pressure with his delivery, poor decision making and inability to release the ball in the first instance when he has options.

Oh and his head bobbing poos me.. ;D

Thank you

Have been critical of Ellis' of for along time

Yesterday was back to the bad days of refusing to go in for a hard ball for apparent fear of getting hit

The 2nd last shot at goal Freo had, the one that led to the Houli kick out brain fade was caused directly by Ellis refusing to go in and tackle a Freo bloke, refusing to go for a hard ball

I understand you need outside players and that's his main role but when it's your turn to go you bloody well go but this bloke bloody well refuses.

As for the helicopter passes  :banghead

For reasons I don't understand He'd get us a 1st rounder, take it Tigers

I understand the sentiment but would've thought there are 5 or 6 players who are more seasoned and don't have any upside that you would trade or retire ahead of a 21 year old in his 4th season.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”
