“Outside ball, that’s pretty good at the moment.  I’ve got to work on my contested (ball) a lot more and my tackling,” Ellis said.

“I think my contested numbers haven’t been too bad this year, and I think I’m averaging five tackles a game (compared to his 2014 tackle average of 2.4), which has never been heard of before, but I’ll try and keep that up.”

“The coach is starting to get into me now that you can’t just be a midfielder that gets the ball – you need to be a midfielder that kicks goals as well, to be more damaging,” he said.

Dead set poor disposal. Worst in the team.

Typical game. Did some things that incensed me but still ended up with 30 touches and provided a lot of run. Think we will always have to take the good with the bad with Brandon

he can kick but he has a couple of issues which effect his disposal

he makes dumb decisions
he panics and/or rushes his kicks

Very poor game. His efforts off the ball were very poor and his disposal was very average.

Another one of our left field safe recruiting selections, gets a lot of ball but simply doesn't have a footballing brain and doesn't hurt teams with his disposal. His namesake Corey yesterday had less possessions but each were more incisive than Brandon's. Needs to be taken aside by the coaching staff and work on his thought process during the game and also taken outside for a bit of one on one skill training to improve his execution.

Needs to improve a few things - hardness and disposal for example.

Certainly wasn't useless though. Kicked a beauty.

His marking is underrated, though we haven't even seen that much this year. With better coaching & gameplan I believe he still has something to offer but would still consider dangling him on the line come trade week to see what bites.

Looks to have attracted the short dinky kick disease

Reckon his biggest strength is his long kicking and it's gone missing big time this season

Agree. Needs to go back to kicking the ball long. It is a real strength. No need for dinky short kicks.
