All very quiet this morning
I thought he was BOG last night
Think the haircut has done the trick

He has deserved every whack that he has copped over his time...his poor /pathetic games out weigh the good by a long, long way, to borrow a phrase FACT

Yes he was excellent last night, would go as far as to say it is the best game he's played but...

and let's not distort things or be seduced by last night ...

but...

what he showed last night should be the norm on a regular basis not the exception

Show effort like every week and the whacks will disappear. Revert back to the same old same old that we've witnessed for the majority of his career and the whacks will return bigger and louder than before (quite rightly I might add)

One game wont define him, consistency of effort like last night (or lack there of) will

He had a good game.

That's just GOOD.

NOW, If u work out how many games he plays a season where he's 🚺♿️,
It's not even worth mentioning.
Caracella and Balmey.

He's scared and again short armed a contest last night.

He is what he is.

Ditto Houli.

You can't teach a player courage.

Don't forget Griggs shirks
Caracella and Balmey.

Grigg's delivery kills us....and yes I know he's not the only culprit, but he's main one and the worst recidivist....

I cannot stand BEllis but he was good last night. And even Houli for that matter.
All AFL footballers have talent but it's the ones that the bad outweighs the good that get criticism, and imo Ellis is one of those players.

Energised Ellis

Hard-running Richmond utility Brandon Ellis produced his best performance of season 2017 in last night’s blockbuster ‘Dreamtime at the G’ clash.

Ellis played a pivotal role in Richmond’s 15-point victory over Essendon, picking up a season-high 30 disposals, including 13 contested possessions, took an equal game-high (and season-high for him) nine marks, had an equal team-high nine intercepts, eight score involvements and snapped a crucial goal late in the third quarter that regained the lead for the Tigers.

He received three votes in the Yiooken Medal, which was awarded to his Tiger teammate Dustin Martin for being adjudged best afield in the Dreamtime game.

“I thought Brandon was really solid tonight,” Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said in his post-match press conference.

“He’s been pretty good for the majority of the year.

“We like his flexibility down back and playing the wing . . .

“He’s taken a step forward, which is good.

“He’d be the first to admit he wasn’t overly happy with his year last year, and neither were we.

“But we challenged him and he’s starting to play some good football that we know he can, more consistently.”

Ellis, a 23-year-old veteran of 120 league games with the Tigers, is averaging 20.7 disposals this season.

From Robbo's "Likes/Dislikes" column today:

DUSTIN Martin was very good on Friday night and was a worthy winner, but Brandon Ellis would’ve been worthier. He was huge. Had a game-high 148 ranking points, 30 disposals, 18 uncontested possessions and a team-high nine intercept possessions. He’s not damaging enough to play out-and-out midfield and this year has gone to defence. Against the Bombers, he had Parish for 34 minutes and picked up anyone else who came near him. He went at 90 per cent efficiency which is outstanding for Ellis and an equal career-high 13 contested possessions. While Martin was influential, Ellis was stellar and I look forward to Damien Hardwick giving him five votes.

He went back to kicking it backwards and sideways last night. Why does he do that?

Can someone tell me how many meters he gained for his 18 kicks?

First game in a long time that I didn't see him either short arm a contest or poo himself completely

Wow

Reason he went backwards TWICE as North had pushed every player behind the ball and we had 4 players sitting behind Brando
Watch the game
382 meters gained
