I am not talking about switching sides like that I am talking about kicking backwards several kicks and then across and by the time they have finished the whole opposition have pressed up and are able to force a turnover.  It is ridiculous.  Thankfully it was less evident in this game.

His tackle in the swans fwd 50 last 2 mins saved the game for us.

Gave us a chance that we wouldn't have had . Great tackle.

Still petrified

Has been solid 2 weeks in a row but yeah still craps himself a couple times a game. Almost threw the remote at the TV when kicked it 40m backwards in the 3rd without looking forward or to the middle
Man that crap makes me go berko, switching across their goals has to be the dumbest crap in football and they usually make us pay for it.

Why?

There are 15 defenders on one side

If you move it to the other side there are less

Like hockey soccer basketball

Often the options are a hack Chaplin a dud Hampson or a triple teamed jack to kick forwards too
Always look forward first, then have the balls to look into the middle (Brandon never does), then look back.

Most of those switches at least take you towards the centre. He literally just kicked it 40m back to our back flank. It was shocking.

And let's hope after that he turns into a blonde Dangerfield.

What a frustrating player Ellis is turning out to be. If only he can be reprogrammed to look and go forward at every opportunity, could be a player.

Scared

Pulled up twice last night

Only twice,

For one great tackle you get multiple poor decisions, little chip kicks anywhere but forward and at least a minimum 3 refusals to actual attack the ball. Another week of 25+ meanignless possessions camouflaged by one really great tackle and an important goal

I don't blame him for being soft I blame the Richmond Way that has allowed this to become the norm rather than the exception.
I'd prefer this new look Brandon to the old any day. I think he's definitely trying to do the right things now and be the player he probably was when he arrived.
If he continues this new aggression he is obviously displaying he can hopefully realise his full potential as a genuine player. This way we see less of the squibbing and see more toughness and more forward penetration that comes with more confidence.
We will never see this with Houli or Hunt ever but the last few weeks I've seen some positive signs with Brandon and I'm willing to give the kid some slack, remember he's only a few months older than Vlaustin.

After the pioneering efforts of Campbell & Bowden, continued by Newman & Hackson, we arrive at Ellis, who's now taken the art of momentum killing to astonishing new heights. :clapping

How many times did he fumble last night??
He was by far our worst player last night regardless of how many kicks he got.

How much better did we look without Houli last night, but imagine how good we would look with both of these useless cheats.
