“I’ve spoken to Damien and he said, ‘I want you to be exactly like me’, so, fair enough . . . I might get a few lessons from him,” Arnot told ‘Roar Vision’.
“I’ll just play my natural style, but, obviously, I’ll develop, not only as a footballer, but as a human being . . . that’s the key to it.”
“I’m a bigger-framed type of midfielder, probably hard-hitting , a lot of tackles, a lot of bumps . . . all the hard stuff that the Richmond faithful should like,” he said.
“If I can string a few games together, it would be great to work with people like Deledio and Newman and, in the midfield, ‘Dusty’ and all those boys . . .
“I’m just glad to be given the opportunity to represent myself and represent the Club. I know that being AFL football, you just can’t walk into the ranks - you’ve got to work your way up and that’s just something I look forward to.
“At this point, I’ll just take it one step at a time and that’s the key - you don’t get too ahead of yourself . . .”
