March 24, 2012 RISING Richmond star Tyrone Vickery has signed a two-year contract extension.
Vickery, 21, has committed to the Tigers until the end of 2014 in the latest dose of good news for the club.
"We are thrilled to have Ty continue with Richmond for at least another two years," Tigers football manager Craig Cameron said last night.
"He has become a very important player in our team, and we consider him one of our up-and-coming leaders.
"At 21 years of age, we look forward to seeing Ty continue to develop into a long-term player for the Tigers."
Richmond has already extended coach Damien Hardwick's contract for another two years and is confident midfielder Brett Deledio will soon commit.
Essendon young gun Michael Hurley penned a long-term deal with the Bombers on Thursday, leaving Collingwood's Travis Cloke as the biggest key forward left on the Greater Western Sydney shopping list.
The cashed-up Giants have one more year to lure uncontracted stars.
