Go have a talk Tigers, just a chat!!!!

They already have apparently.

Well thats good then, be interesting to see if anything eventuates or he goes West..

Don't think we can match Freo or Melgone's offers.. Or at least we aren't stupid enough to.

No chance he goes to Freo. He hates flying. Mike Sheahan (Melb supporter) said he wouldn't accept 1.1mill per year over 20 years to play for the Dees.  :lol

Carlton supposively need AFL to allow them to extend the old Visy deal to Judd. Which better not happen.

I have the feeling not only extend it, but increase the amount on the Visy deal and decrease the amount through their salary cap therefore making room for Cloke who will also get a Visy deal lol. Sounds about right with a brown paper bag under the table for AD.

Easy, Tiger: Cloke on hold (Age)

Looks like we are now going to join in the chase ...

Easy, Tiger: Cloke on hold

RICHMOND says it would be ''duty-bound'' to consider Travis Cloke as a recruit but only if his situation with Collingwood became ''irreparable'' after the Magpies put contractual talks with the power forward on hold until the end of the season.

The Tigers echoed Carlton's ''unlikely'' stance - that they believed Cloke would stay with the Magpies. They have not made Cloke any offer.

Richmond football department head, Craig Cameron, said of Cloke, whose father David played more than 200 games for the Tigers: ''Our understanding has always been that he would remain at Collingwood. But if that situation becomes irreparable, we're duty-bound to look at any way to improve our list.''

But the Tigers are unlikely to be in a position to offer Cloke the kind of terms that Fremantle are thought to have dangled (ie. $5m over 5 years).

The decision to put talks on hold arguably opens the door further for rival clubs, although many in the industry still believe he will remain a Magpie.

Cloke had wanted between $750,000 and $800,000 to remain a Magpie in a five-year deal.

Wait and see I guess. Not sure that the Blues have the money for that.
On top of rumoured financial problems already, they would to pay out Ratten if Malthouse is coming for a start. Then Judd needs to be re-signed and have just tied up the likes of Gibbs and Kreuzer.
Unless it's more brown (visy) bags under the table, I think they'd have more trouble affording him than us.

It's not so much the money Mr M but the length of the contract that is the sticking point. Carlton will trade out a big name to make space in the cap.
