Mcguane has been impressive in the forward line.  Kicked 3 and gave off at least 3 on the weekend.

I would be trading out Jackson and Edwards long before I looked at Mcguane.  Edwards must have the record for most goals missed from under 15m in the afl.  Thats dead money.

We need to get Cloke if we are going to have a competitive forward line.  Riewoldt is just too volatile and gets too many of his goals when the game is over or when the opposition are really bad.

Cotchin and Rance both said they want Cloke at the club on the sunday footy show.

I agree with you that we need Cloke and should trade out Jackson for a half chewed Twistie if we can. Edwards for mine has proven since the Dreamtime game that as a small forward, he can kick the opportunistic goals and create them with his evasiveness. I wouldn't move him on now and just continue to play him up front.

McG is a spud, kicks 3 when we win by 50 points, but where was he when the game was on the line against Carlton? Had 6 touches for the game or something didn't he? I could have kicked 3 on the weekend and I don't rate myself a superstar, so it's a void argument really. McGuane needs to be moved on just like Jackson. If they don't move him on, then he should be paid the minimum possible amount as he hopefully won't be getting any games next season.

Personally think McGuane offers more. Great hands, defensive pressure. Physical force and an elite kick for goal.

Whilst Travis will improve is massively, he's still not the answer, and certainly not the answer for 1mil a year for 5 years. If we are going to pay $5mil throw 500k a year at Jonathan Patton to come home and Josh Caddy on 5 years deals.

admittedly i haven't seen a great deal of each this year, but from what i have i reckon merrit would be better value at CHF, taking into account $ for output

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Merrett. Gun full back. Lions have the luxury of playing him forward

wonder how much difference it would have made if they had had that luxury saturday night?

Cloke could be good but at what cost? I'm concerned that his output would not match his pocket size and this may hinder other future trades. I'm very uncertain which was to go on this.

I don't think he will come to the Tigers. I really just think he is trying to squeeze every last cent, year and beneficial condition out of the Pies. I think its got to a stage where the club is sick of dealing with him but at the same time don't want him to go. Cloke and his 'management' will now have to decide whether they will play hard ball themselves, call the Pies bluff and start discussing moving to another club. Hopefully this will be enough to put doubt in Clokes mind and when push comes to shove he realizes that moving away from his team mates etc won't be so bad after all. :pray

I still think that if we move Griffiths forward next year at CHF and have Vickery and Jack leading out from the goal square we won't need Cloke. A godd crumber here and there and the opposition defenders will be struggling to contain them all especially given the amount of ball our midfielders are delivering into the F50 lately.  :clapping

Cloke clunks anything that comes his way. His inclusion can't only be measured by his actions either. Him alongside Jack and TV/Maric as they rest would have opposition defenders pooing themselves before taking the field. Honestly, imagine Jack or Cloke with a defender 1 on 1 . . . they cant double team them both, and if they did, just means some poor bugger has to try and stop TV (when he can extend his arms again - form of 2011) or Maric when resting forward.

Griffiths would make a good CHF

if he could take a contested mark
if he could play a whole game
if he was fit enough to present
if we could find a better kick from full back
if he could play out a whole season

Cloke will make a good CHF

if he puts on a Richmond jumper.

No, I have watched some footy this year. Cloke is down on form but he's the best contested mark of all time. The proof is there. People reckon he's having a poor year but he's still taken more contested marks than anyone else in the competition. How many has he kicked? 40 odd? You don't reckon he is "the answer"? What the stuff is he then? Not good enough to get a game for Richmond? Give me a spell. He is a gun and we should do our best to get him here.
Remember when you said you were involved with a TAC club and Tigermonk exposed you? I thought that was funny.
