hes gotta start somewhere Claw and he was good today. has got heaps of potential and at least for me today he showed what he hadnt shown before - he got the footy.
yep he was impressive still has a bit of work to do on his body as well. but actually getting some ball and useing it well was the most pleasing thing not to mention his defensive work was pretty sound.

Free Ellis and Conca to rotate in midfield

B: Newman Rance Dea
HB: Batchelor Griffiths Houli

Very good game at chb maybe  just maybe he can play back for the long term time will tell. still think he should play forward though. funny isnt it he wasnt getting a game until batchelor hurt himself on a tram track thursday night.
funny heres a bloke come into the side without doing a hell of a lot at coburg. but hes come in and done well. sort of makes a mockery of all those supporters demanding players perform before they play.

cant wait to see how the backline functions at full strength with all of rance griffiths and grimes third man up  in the team not to mention batchelor coming back as well.
anyway congratulations to the big lug hope he remembers one  good game does not make you a good plyer.

Once again Claw, where do you pull som of this crap from?? Griffiths came in for Grimes! And from memory He had also been in solid for playing down back for Coburg? He has been in coburgs best this season and has clearly been our next best backman to come into the side!
lol apologies got a little confused with batchelor being named at chb and then missing maric came in for batchelor.

if you think griffiths has been in the best players at coburg you are kidding yourself.
he got hit in the head four  weeks ago and basically missed the entire game.
had no impact at all 3 weeks ago.
went of early in the third 2 weeks ago with a knee
and 1 week ago had a decent game and managed to get named in the best players but far from the best. nope he had done very little as far as performances go to warrant a game lucky in a way grimes got hurt which is what i should have said in the first place because he would have been made to wait despite the lack of structure.

Really wanted him forward, but what the hell, if he is good in the back line so be it.

Today he showed us what he hasnt been able too in the past - He actually got the footy. He can play and if he can continue to get to the footy he can be a major weapon. Played very well today. Wheres Monky?

Going to be interesting with Batchelor and Grimes in upcoming weeks

It's giving us options. Which provides depth in the long term. :thumbsup
