Spear Tackle on Morris
« on: June 30, 2012, 05:43:12 PM »
Can't remember who did it, but how many weeks?
Knowing the AFL it won't even get cited

And Adelaide dobbed in Kingy last year, we could do the same thing - but I hope we wouldn't do such a low act as dobbing players in.  So hope the AFL just does its job.

He deserved 10 weeks for it I reckon

Shocking decision and the 'wrongness' of it will play out at the MRP this week.  Bet Gieschen doesn't allow it on his segment this week!

The ump in charge there should get weeks as well for not reporting it, one, and then paying the free.

Holding the ball was the correct decision against Morris, the spear tackle was after so not sure if it should be reversed.

That block head Walker should get weeks for that.

I realise he held the ball, but it should have been overturned

Should always be reversed in that situation - same as getting a free reversed for not throwing the ball back, running over the mark, striking, back chatting etc etc.  Bloody dangerous and should never be tolerated at any point.

The decision was incorrect, was holding the ball but if you tackle incorrectly its not holding the ball, same as if you run someone down but ride their back into the ground or tackle high or sling the tackle.
Had no difference to result as Walker missed the goal anyway.

Walker will get a week, put your house on it. Was very very very lucky Morris wasn't injured, if Morris was concussed Walker would have been given a month off.

Bloody disgraceful decision, how can a spear tackle be overlooked....MRP will bring it up for sure, like edwards dumped by milburn years ago, paid fee against him with the bloody opponent later found guilty by tribunal...go figure ::)

Walker who spear tackled Morris shouldn't even have played because of his offence last week that was miraculously thrown out.

He could have paralysed Morris.

5 weeks off is what he should get. Will prob get 2.

Holding the ball was the correct decision against Morris, the spear tackle was after so not sure if it should be reversed.

That block head Walker should get weeks for that.

Up until the time Walker used Morriss' head as mining drill it was holding the ball but at that point the umpire has blown his wistle. As soon as Walker used Steve's to dig for oil then it became a dangerous tackle and should have been a free to the tigers.

Worst decision of season 2012 so far by along way
