That would be last year's hammy then? Time to bin the season.

With regards to Grimes, does anybody have details? Is it the same hammy he just came back from?

Opposite leg apparently TM and not as bad as last time.  If you can believe the reports.  :-\

Cheers smokey, 3 hammys in 15-20 games I don't think u can say not as bad  :-[ :-[

No, I hadn't read the latest on it and forgot that it was actually his third.  The club did say initially that it didn't look as bad as the last time but considering they are looking at going OS a la Coughlan then it can't be good.  Hope like hell they get it fixed because he is fasting becoming a very important cog in our backline.   :pray

No it's not the hammy tendon he had surgery on last season

This tendon injury is the opposite one.

Last year's injury was where he tore the tendon off the bone (ouch)

The injury he just came back was a normal hamstring strain in the leg he was operated on last, hence why they said at the time standard 3 weeks but they gave him close to 5 weeks

This injury is to the tendon but is not as bad because the tendon is still attached to the bone and is as I said the opposite leg to the one he had surgery on

Im pretty sure the one he did earlier this season was opposite to one last season, and this one now is the same as his most recent

You maybe right about the strain and this tendon injury being the same leg

But this new injury to the tendon is the opposite tendon to the one he had surgery on last year

From RFC article:

“Dylan sustained a hamstring tendon injury in his left leg, which is the opposite to his season-ending one last year and not as significant,” Cameron said.

Richmond’s Elite Performance Manager Matt Hornsby explained that the decision to cut short Vickery’s season, by sending him to surgery, means he will be ready to undertake a full pre-season of training.

“Ty had his left shoulder operated on.  He’s been bothered by that since the start of the season,” he said.

“It’s been something he’s been trying to manage, and we’ve been managing as well.
“It got to a point where it was really impacting the work he could do in the gym.
“He was losing some of his strength and his mass and (he had) limited function game-day . . .

“So, our medical team thought it was best to have that operated on. "He also needs a bit of work done on his right shoulder, so we’ll get that done in a couple of weeks, which will enable him to have a full pre-season and really get that strength and size back on that we need.”

So Vickery has had an operation on his left shoulder and will have his right operated on in a couple of weeks.

Oh what fun for a professional footballer, consecutive operations on both shoulders.
Just when you learn to shave, write and wipe your behind with one hand you get to change to the other.  :-\

Still I suppose AFL players don't worry about the shaving or writing too much.

Has jack apologised yet publicly to him for bagging an injured kid who was trying to give his best whilst injured?

Excellent post.

if he was injured why was he playing in the first place.

The club has failed here and player. if you put your hand up to play then you are deemed fit to play. No excuses

The club selected him week after week after week. what for?

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.
