From 2014, Richmond expects to play VFL matches once again on Punt Road Oval, at the ME Bank Centre. However, the job is not done yet.

The Club is currently working with its valued stakeholders to secure the necessary funds required for the redevelopment of the interface, and upgrades to the Jack Dyer grandstand and facilities, that will ensure VFL games played at Richmond once again can become a reality.

The support from Richmond members and fans is vital to the ongoing transformation of our home, and creating a strong and bold future for the Tigers.

So we are expecting to play games but still haven't got the $$$$

So what the article is saying is:

"Valued Stakeholders" = we've gone to major FTF contributors & sponsors to see if they'll kick in again.

"The support from Richmond members & supporters..." = if you want VFL games at PRO then please donate more $$$ to the FTF....if people don't we will playing elsewhere.... ;D

Sorry Tigers not this time

It puzzles me no end why our club has made little apparent effort to shore up its revenue stream since losing the pokies venue. The supporter well will run dry very quickly,if not already.

Richmond’s VFL senior coach, Tim Clarke, said Richmond will take a ‘one-club’ approach with its football programs, with VFL-listed players treated exactly as its AFL listed players.

“The VFL program is incredibly important to our club, and it’s essential that everyone from our players and staff, to our members and supporters, understand how significant this development program is for Richmond’s future,” Clarke said.

“It’s our goal that the VFL program mirrors our AFL program, with VFL listed players having full access to the ME Bank Centre and its facilities, and medical and fitness staff.

With our own team from next year does that mean the VFL will have three Tiger teams - Werribee, Coburg and now Richmond?

According to RFCO on BF:

* We have a playing list of 21 already or very close to, just haven't announced them.

* The VFL team will have a separate webpage on the RFC website (eg: something like richmondfc.com.au/vfl with its own news/video/profiles etc.)

* VFL launch is in early December. VFL guernsey and clash strip will be revealed then.

Apart from the regular cot sniffing nuffers, supporter sentiment is high

Why not do both?
Or are they a satisfied that enough has been done?
If so, it sounds familiar.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Would be great if they were doing both but outside of the FTF, there doesn't appear reading the financials any new revenue streams being implemented to replace what they were getting from the Royal Oak.

That is my issue along with the fact they said at at the first FTF function (the big dinner) that it would go for only 2 years at most.

Yes supporter sentiment is high, they know it and they "play" on that. Thats why the FTF continues.
