No. 52 Angus Hicks28/7/1999, 174cm, 75kg
Now entering his sixth year in the program, Hicks has become one of Richmond VFL’s most experienced players. The dangerous forward leads by example with his work-rate, football smarts and goal sense.
No. 53 Garrett McDonagh19/6/1996, 184cm, 82kg
Garrett has pleasingly returned to the Richmond VFL program after fulfilling a boyhood dream by getting drafted to Essendon last year. His damaging left foot, hard running, leadership and experience will be invaluable to the young group.
Brad Melville01/10/1998, 182cm, 75kg
Melville made a welcome return to the VFL team late in 2022 after a frustrating 18 months with injury. His two-way running, versatility and class will be on full display in 2023 with a full preseason under his belt.
Lachlan Street25/6/1998, 189cm, 93kg
Now entering his second season as captain and fifth overall, Street continues to lead the way for the young Richmond VFL squad. The big-bodied utility is invaluable with his ability to have an impact anywhere on the ground. He will be eyeing off the 50 VFL game milestone in 2023.
No. 56 Harrison White10/1/2002, 175cm, 73kg
A crafty half forward/outside runner with speed and class from Werribee Football Club. Harry has moved to an AFL-aligned club to further his football and has impressed with his determination and professionalism.
No. 57 Mutaz El Nour14/8/2001, 192cm, 83kg
A talented hybrid defender from the Northern Bullants, El Nour has moved to an AFL-aligned VFL club to take his game to the next level. Still young but with 2-3 solid years of VFL experience, Mutaz will provide some excitement in 2023 with his dare, athleticism and foot skills.
No. 58 Cam Olden19/4/2000, 179cm, 78kg
Olden enjoyed a career-best season in 2022, playing 11 games and looking comfortable at the level. He is now in his third year of VFL football and continues to provide value as a tough, contest-winning small forward.
No. 59 Lachlan Johnson07/8/2001, 175cm, 78kg
His year started promisingly with an early season debut, looking right at home with his game sense, agility and decision making. Unfortunately, he struggled for consistency due to injury and will be looking for some good fortune with his body this season so he can get back to his damaging best in 2023.
No. 60 Jess McGrath25/1/2002, 185cm, 75kg
Impressed many in the program with his application, dedication and competitiveness at VFL level last season. The athletic defender, now is in his third season in the program, will looking to elevate his game even further in 2023.
No. 61 Tom Brindley08/12/1998, 195cm, 83kg
Tom’s first year at VFL level was really promising. He had two turns at a debut, the first one being ruined illness, and continues to impress heading into 2023 with his incredible athleticism and positional versatility.
No. 62 Nick Guiney18/1/2002, 187cm, 93kg
Guiney had a super impressive debut year, playing in a variety of positions before settling down back as a competitive and athletic defender. It is an exciting prospect knowing he still just 20 years of age and entering his second year of VFL football.
No. 63 Beau Tedcastle29/3/2004, 177cm, 74kg
Dangerous forward and GWV Rebels graduate from the Northern Territory that boarded at Ballarat's St Patrick's College last year. After playing some early-season NTFL football for St Mary’s late in 2022, Beau has joined the Richmond VFL program for 2023 and will excite with his power, speed and crafty goal sense.
No. 64 Misilifi Faimalo4/5/1999, 181cm, 82kg
Faimalo's searing speed and agility was on full display in his debut year. With a year of state league experience now under his belt, along with another preseason, we expect him to generate more excitement as he continues to develop his game.
No. 65 Joel Nathan12/10/2000, 191cm, 85kg
A favourite clubman, Joel returns for his fourth year in the program. The athletic and ever-reliable Tiger is a brutal competitor and can play on forwards of all sizes.
No. 66 Luke Teal20/5/2004, 189cm, 80kg
Teal is an athletic medium defender that represented Oakleigh Chargers and Vic Metro last year in what was quite an injury-interrupted year for him. He was given an opportunity to train with the Richmond's AFL squad late in the year before joining the VFL program. He is due for some luck and will hit the ground running in 2023.
No. 67 Fraser Elliot5/7/2002, 188cm, 89kg
Elliot's second year at VFL level last season started on shaky ground with injuries and illness. When he was finally given an opportunity at the level in the second half of the season, he had an immediate impact as a big-bodied, contest-winning midfielder with clean hands. We expect him to continue this exciting form into 2023.
No. 68 James Trezise15/6/2002, 188cm, 76kg
A smooth moving dangerous forward from Tooradin-Dalmore with zippy lateral movement and athleticism. He has never been in the elite pathway before which is exciting considering the raw talent he possesses.
No. 69 Harry Broderick06/12/2004, 178cm, 76kg
The son of Paul Broderick (262 AFL games – 169 for Richmond), Harry is a smart, competitive half forward mid that will mix his time with Richmond VFL while completing his schooling at Marcellin College.
No. 70 Will Bravo6/5/2002, 181cm, 77kg
Bravo started the year promisingly, impacting games with his aggression on the ball and the opposition. Unfortunately, his season was cut short by injury, but the thought of him returning to his explosive best in 2023 is an exciting one.
No. 71 Archie May27/8/2004, 195cm, 90kg
A former rower and Brighton Grammar graduate, May is a raw but athletic ruckman with plenty of upside. He follows up his work at ground level and loves to throw his weight around with aggression.
No. 72 Mykelti Lefau22/6/2001, 183cm, 78kg
Lefau started 2022 impressively, having an immediate impact as a ruck/forward with athleticism and power before unfortunately rupturing his ACL. His return in 2023 will be welcomed and celebrated by all involved in the Richmond VFL program.
No. 73 Ned Crowe07/01/2003, 188cm, 89kg
A big-bodied, strong-running inside midfielder and former First XVII Captain of St Kevins College. Crowe represented Sandringham Dragons as a 19-year-old last season and is keen to develop his craft at state league level.
No. 74 Tom Bracher10/2/2002, 177cm, 71kg
Brachar impressed in his debut year at state level last season, showing composure and class beyond his years and excellent smarts behind the ball. He’ll be looking to build on that in his second year in the program.
No. 76 Max Clohesy12/02/2004, 179cm, 76kg
A tough rebounding defender with speed and power who graduated from the Murray Bushrangers last season. Can impact games and hurt opposition with his penetrating left-foot kick.
No. 77 Matt Clarkson11/09/2004, 170cm, 60kg
A creative small defender with smarts and foot skills that can open the game up from the back half. He graduated from the Sandringham Dragons and Caulfield Grammar last season where he was part of both premiership winning sides.
No. 78 Billy Cooper12/9/1998, 183cm, 70kg
Mature age prospect from Tatura that consistently finds the ball through this relentless work-rate. A former Next Generation Academy and Murray Bushrangers graduate, Cooper is eager to step up to state league football this year.
No. 79 Ashtyn Atkinson20/7/2004, 187cm, 75kg
Atkinson is a smooth moving winger from the Murray Bushrangers from Richmond's Next Generation Academy. He's is classy ball user and strong outside runner, who is enthusiastic about stepping up to state league football this season.
No. 80 Mohammed Yassine29/8/2003, 177cm, 61kg
The Bachar Houli Academy graduate trained with great intensity in a strong first year of development in the VFL program in 2022. He has come back supremely fit and with a gritty determination to elevate his game in 2023.
No. 81 Lewis Hill12/3/2002, 180cm, 71kg
A smart and skilful winger from Tooradin-Dalmore and a former Eastern Ranges graduate, Lewis is lightly framed but has high-level movement, awareness and composure.
No. 82 Ben Bilston-McGillen20/2/2003, 177cm, 76kg
Bilston-McGillen is crafty, clean and strong over the ball. He is a dangerous forward/mid that played some really exciting senior football in the VAFA for Old Xaverians last season. At still only 19 years old, he is ready for the challenge of VFL football.

Tom is the the son of Nathan Bower, who played 74 games for Richmond, and graduate from the Oakleigh Chargers. He's a strong runner off half-forward or on a wing, and loves taking the game on with his speed.
Luke Haddara18/3/2004, 185cm, 91kg
Luke is a Bachar Houli Academy and Western Jets graduate with skill, smarts and and a penetrating left foot. He;s always willing to take the game on and generate offensively for his team.
